That?s why I think this will backfire. Sooner or later one of the mods will get sick of all these fetish threads either because of the subject matter or because of the kinds of people they attract.
The kinds of people they attract.
You are aware that most everyone, at some point in their life, has sex, right? It's a natural thing for people to do. It's kind of part of being alive. It's not even part of being human, animals do it too. I don't see the problem with it.
A few people joined the Escapist because they wanted to respond to threads I've made. I've had people in my threads say that they've never thought about it and now looked at themselves in a new light because of my threads. I do these threads to get an idea of what's going on with these topics, but if I can post a thread where people enjoy themselves by talking about things, or learn new things about themselves, that's all I need.
That's my goal here. I want people to be able to talk about this stuff in order to learn more about themselves in a safe and relatively judgment free environment. Because of the relative anonymity that the internet allows, people might be more comfortable to discuss their sexual behavior without worrying about being judged as much as they would if they were to do so in person.
The point of my threads is research, in a manner of speaking. However, if my thread can allow people to enjoy themselves and have casual talk about something that's sush an important part in life as well as learn something about themselves while doing it, that is the highest compliment to me. Even if one person out of one hundred comes out of my thread having learned something and enjoyed themselves while doing it, I'll deal with the minor annoyance I've caused those other ninety-nine people. Because that annoyance will only be brief, but that learning experience will last a lifetime.
