This is a question I have been pondering for a while. I have heard rave reviews but I'm not completely convinced. I like RPGs, have time to go into depth in stories, the game is cheap, but then I hit another wall; what platform? I've heard it is tonnes better on PC but not completely sure my PC can handle it. I've got an Xbox 360 as well. My computer specs are....

Thanks!

Simple answer YES and i bought it on the xbox but i think the PC version has a better inventory system which on the 360 is a cluttered mess so go with that unless you care about achievements

Yes, Buy it for xbox360. I didn't get to play it yet but the trailers look bad ass.

Maybe you should have hid that key too. Maybe not.

Apparently the PC version is pretty buggy, so I'd say 360.

Either way, buy the game, definately.

From what I've read though, the PC version is a significant improvement on the Xbox version: better graphics, better squad control interface, better vehicle control, better inventory interface.

Anyway, I will be able to speak from experience after May the 21st when I am permitting myself to buy it: can't wait :)

Yeah, Mass Effect is a great game and I'd highly recommend you try it out. I played it on the 360 before it was ever released for PC.

If I had the choice back then I would have easily went for PC, simply because you get to use a mouse and you can get to tweak the graphics up significantly. I always hate having to navigate tons of menus and items with a joystick, it's unintuitive and annoying.

As far as your specs being able to handle the game, well.. not sure because I don't know what your Graphics Card is, which is the most important really. Your CPU should be able to handle it just fine, and you have sufficient RAM.. but again, your graphics card is most important. Try searching the web for articles on graphics cards for Mass Effect and see what people have to say.

Oh, a word of warning regarding graphics cards: the game did use to have an issue with Nvidia graphics cards: whether that's fixed or not yet, I don't know, and I suppose I'll find out in May (if it is the case I will not be happy...)

I haven't played the PC version of Mass Effect, but you should definitely get it. It is one of the greatest games I've ever played.

I didn't really like Mass Effect there was just too much talking. Don't get me wrong a good story in an RPG is important, but Mass Effect's just went over the top.
But if you're going to get it anyway then go PC.

Here are the PC requirements:
http://masseffect.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=626379&forum=125

It only requires a 6 series Nvidia card, and I'd assume that your 7300 (7 series) would be more powerful, but I wouldn't quote me on that as the Nvidia numbering system isn't totally straightforward, and I know very little about PC hardware.

I've played it on PC over and over from the day it was released and loved every minute of it. I'd definately recommend buying it. I played it with an 8800GT but I think your card should be able to handle it and I haven't hit any bugs like others mentioned.

You should be able to run it okay if you update your drivers. Get them from www.laptopvideo2go.com

Apart from the broken framerate this game is absolutely stunning. I have never been so sucked in by the mythology and story of a game. It's even worth playing for 25 hours just to see THAT utterly amazing final hour...

Perhaps renting it, but not buying. For me, Mass Effect was fun at first but it started to feel like it had no real soul........plus I had already played it back when it was called Knights of the Old Republic....which was strangely a much more fun game.

Yes, as long as you have a good GPU. PC version is better than the Xbox one.

360, with the PC version you have finite installs but with the 360 you get to play as much as you want.
