I'd say save your money. Buy Starcraft 2. It's the only thing you will be playing for the next decade anyway.
It's a big deal on the PS3 forums.Nomanslander said:It's called the yellow light of death, but since hardly anyone has heard of it it's obviously not much of an issue.jpoon said:I Can only hope there's no such thing as a PS3 Red Ring of Death issue!
In all I say, get yourself a PS3!
This and if you have the money get both, they're ups and downs but if you have them both then you can avoid the downsAura Guardian said:Go with what your friends have. That way, you can game together.
I was in the same position and I did buy a ps3. It is a nice console but in the end I still think of my 360 as the master system and it just doesn't have that awesome feel that 360 has. I'm not completely satisfied but there are definitely games that make it worthwhile.thebreadbinman said:I chose ps2 over xbox originally (as I'm sure most sane people did)
but I chose 360 over ps3 because of the prise, and the exclusive games microsoft had, and, until recently, haven't regretted my decision.
But now games like heavy rain are coming out and they look pretty amazing but even I have to admit, the wouldn't work on the xbox. Also my house doesn't have a blue ray player. So should I cross over to the dark side and but a ps3 as well as my xbox? Or should I save and just get all the amazing games I want for the xbox anyway???
It's fuzzy and crap. It's the exact reason no body watched VHS tapes anymore. Hell I don't think I know anyone who still has a VHS player. Get the PS3, the games are great adn the Blu-Ray will blow your mind.Aby_Z said:If you want to, go ahead. It's a matter of personal opinion, same with the idea that you even need Blueray (Honestly, I hate the HD/Blueray craze. What's wrong with standard definition!?) but it's ultimately your choice.
Quoted for non-truth. The above statement is wrong.Souplex said:Heavy rain is basically Quick time event the movie the game. That should not be a buying incentive.
Fuzzy and crap? Every time I see a comparison between Standard Def. and High Def, Standard Def. and BlueRay, or High Def. and BlueRay, I see no noticeable difference at all. If it were a big jump then maybe I could see it worth it but there's really no major difference as far as I can tell.XinfiniteX said:It's fuzzy and crap. this. blu ray has been selling like hotcakes from what i have seen, in my state/area, more people i know buy blu ray now than standard dvd's, and no one i really kno uses digital distribution for anything, they like to own the hardcopy, and you get the digital copy with it anyways so there is a +1 for thats69-5 said:Wait... what? Isn't Bluray thriving having won the format war with HD-DVD?madbird-valiant said:Blu-Ray is dead and isn't going to revive to any real extent any time soon since digital distribution is becoming the norm.
Either way, it's far from dead.
