you should be fine, i hav ea friend hwo uses a standard TV and has no problems.Allan53 said:Sorry, I should probably read all the posts in case this has been answered, but I'm lazy: If I were to buy a PS3 (for the games, not the Blu-Ray, which I really don't see the point of), but hook it up to a standard-definition TV, would I run into any problems?
I second that. "Quick time event the movie game" so what? It's a great way to develop a story through using player choises.. the biggest choises you have in FPS or RPG is pretty much do one thing, on thing happens.. do another thing.. another thing happens.soapyshooter said:have you played the game? Its much more interesting and revolutionary than what you are making it out to be.Souplex said:Heavy rain is basically Quick time event the movie the game. That should not be a buying incentive.
Some people may indeed like that and therefore is a buying incentive for them, this is all based off of opinion. I got the PS3 for the free internet, and the few exclusives at the time which were Resistance, Killzone, and Ratchet and Clank, all of which I am to this day very happy with over paying for the continued use of the 360.Souplex said:Heavy rain is basically Quick time event the movie the game. There really isn't that much difference between them.rt052192 said:first of all relax, i realize that it may be that time of the month againChameliondude said:firstly dont bring your flame war fanboy bulshit here, and secondly, apart from inter game chat which xbox has, the ps3 is free and has home, a fukin web browser, iplayer, vidzone and online game speed is set by the servers the game company has, so your wrong as well, it you gonna talk shit, bring some reasons.rt052192 said:xbox has better online
XBOX FTW

there is a reason ps3 has free online (nothing is free)
xbox has better quality online
halo (if thats wat ur into)
each system has fair share of limited games
finally go beat off to ps3 since u clearly get hard-ons for it
Agree with this ,no point getting a PS3 finding you ant got no friends to play with lolAura Guardian said:Go with what your friends have. That way, you can game together.
I found it largely fine. The only problem was that sometimes the writing in game was very hard to make out. I used to play on a 24/26 inch (can't remember) SDTV and I'd have to move up to the Tv and squint to read some of it. Almost every game that had small writing I had to do this. Otherwise there are times when I can't really tell the difference.Allan53 said:Sorry, I should probably read all the posts in case this has been answered, but I'm lazy: If I were to buy a PS3 (for the games, not the Blu-Ray, which I really don't see the point of), but hook it up to a standard-definition TV, would I run into any problems?
