Light, I just have an issue with blatantly being an asshole.

Both in real life and games.
This for me.

So long as I can still have romantic relationships, if the jedi order said I had to abandon my gf, they would get force lightning enemas. If it is allowed, I shall be a happy and benevolent jedi.

I would go dark side.
The bad guys always have the best toys, the best one-liners, they always look cooler, and generally, they have more fun.

Pre Ruusan Reformation Defintely Jedi

Post Ruusan Reformation probably Jedi but more gray, like Qui Gon

The reformation placed a butt ton of rules and regulations on the Jedi and made them into a bunch of elitist, aloof, holier than thou, complacent jerk offs.
^this for me too^

There were no anti-fucking laws pre-Ruusan, only anti-marriage laws (and those could be waived for special cases). The Jedi were trusted to police their own emotions. Even camaraderie can form dangerous attachment, the laws of the post-Ruusan Jedi completely ignored the possibility in favor of hidebound idiocy.

Oh yeah, I'd also go light-side post-empire. Luke's school was pretty sensible.

Sith, people don't appreciate goodness and try to walk all over you seeing it as a sign of weakness.
Only a sith deals in absolutes.
That which in itself is an absolute. [sub]In your hypocritical face, Obi-Wan![/sub]

OT: Jedi, but with a healthy dose of sarcastic wit and relationships with the women [sub]and Force Lightning[/sub], if you will. Fuck the prudes that make up most of the Jedi in the KotOR games and.. well, almost everything else related to them until after Luke's reforms. Most of the Jedi whom left the Order for the Sith were either disgruntled lovers or seduced by quick and passionate power, no less.

jedi are just overrated space police and aren't even allowed to own anything and have an insane amount of rules

sith have pretty-much no rules, that's the thing you could be a sith and do whatever you want
they're just unregulated force users
i wouldn't even say they'd be evil, it's just human nature to abuse the force now and then

i guarantee you if you give humans on earth the force they'd end up abusing it to some degree even if the end up doing good most of the time, most of them will not live as hobo's off other people's charity and will continue to want to own stuff
which is not a jedi so therefore must be a sith
it's just poor classification

if i had to choose i'd just be a terrible jedi, but that isn't an option so sith

it will be interesting to see how people populate the new star-wars mmo
because it has multiple 'grey' options available
so you could be a good jedi that just ignores all the rules! = best option right there all the chicks, stuff and powers with no responsibility

i mean, really what's the point of having the force if you aren't allowed to use it constructively?

Light

It's more fulfilling. Feeding negative emotions only leads to more negative emotions. I believe a small green fellow put it in a better way however, a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.

Neither. I value my freedom too much to be a Jedi, but I'm too nice of a person to be a Sith. Can't I just use the Force for my own benefit without hurting anyone?

Sith, for four reasons

1: I can continue to be a grumpy asshole.

2: Force Lightning.

3: I don't have to go celibate.

4: I can dress all in black and look awesome.

All I have to do is kneel in front of some wrinkly ************ every so often and I'm fine.

Gray Jedi. For one, just because I don't always follow the rules, doesn't mean I want to be an asshole (just a dick [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdq577iClbU]), and two, because me likey the women.

And I ask, as I'm sure someone already has, why can't we have more than two options?

Gray Jedi. All the fun of force lighting without the guilt and no "No fucking" rule.
I have no idea what a "Gray" Jedi is, but I can guess based on context, so I'm going to say, "this."

As everyone else already has.

I'd get training from the Sith and Jedi, then exterminate them both. Then I would train a new generation of force users in my image, neither Sith nor Jedi, and without principle or structure. They would be few and scattered throughout the galaxy to prevent us taking over.

Jedi under Luke Skywalker's supervision. These are the correct Jedi, and in the end, we always win. Sith end up destroying themselves. They always have, and always will.

There is an aspect of the Dark side that makes you a slave to your emotions and passions, while the Jedi simply choose to be slaves to the Force.

The Sith allow for a far wider exploration of the mysteries of the force, but still emphasise on mastering the Dark side and little else. The Jedi on the other hand have a strict rule on not even contemplating the dark side, but support the full spectrum of uses for the Force in any other way.

Finally, the amount of Jedi that have actually left/ been expelled from the Jedi order can apparently be counted on two hands, While the amount of Sith killed by backstabbing fellow sith is certainly more than 50% (90% with the rule of two, as each disciple would murder their master once they had outlived their usefulness).

Personally, I think my chances of survival and emotional/social/economic support would be much better with the Jedi. Plus, I believe there would be no stopping me if I decided to leave once i achieved an adequate level of mastery in the force.

I'd probably run off to become a Mandalorian XD!
