That doesn't magically elevate them above criticism.wakeup said:keep in mind YouTube doesn't owe you anything, its free entertainment.
These are the two things I find most annoying about Youtube.Tayh said:3. Homepage being set to "Watch to watch" instead of "Subscriptions" as it used to be.
5. Deleting videos off my playlists and then not letting me know which video it was/what the name of the video was so I can find a replacement.
these are my only issues, the buffering and replay stuff..never had any of those problems, not once. (provided i was on a decent connection and not the schools wifi or something stupid)Tayh said:1. Layout designed for viewing on tablets, skewing the layout to the side for PC's.
2. Youtube not remembering video settings such as quality and window size. which I'm pretty sure it once did.
3. Homepage being set to "Watch to watch" instead of "Subscriptions" as it used to be.
4. Blocking videos based on your country/IP.

what search engine do you use then? yahoo? msn? *laughs* bing?viranimus said:Such a simple question.
The answer is Google. Google ruins everything they touch with constant uneeded meddling. I just wish people would have understood how much google sucks 5 years ago so they would not have the clout they have now to have their fingers in everything. Hopefully people will wash the hype and marketing out of their eyes and see all the damage google has done.
Who am I kidding, That will never happen.
I do not use a single search engine. I use meta engines, which basically means I use them all and more than you listed. Yes Google results are included in that, but they are only a fraction and really only a sucker trusts only one source for anything.gmaverick019 said:what search engine do you use then? yahoo? msn? *laughs* bing?viranimus said:Such a simple question.

youtube has gone downhill i admit, but when my calender/gmail/google all sync up perfectly with my school schedule and any updates i do, i have to question your opinion on it.
then list whatever metaengine you use, since it is apparently far superior.viranimus said:I do not use a single search engine. Ill grant you, that sync you describe, along with an android enabled device does make a compelling case for the good google is actually capable of. However at the same time is it worth it when progressively the android OS is becoming increasingly restrictive and bloated? When all these things constantly demand to be ran in the background wasting RAM for no good reason other than perpetual omnipresence? Please understand I did not say google has never done anything good. Only they ruin everything they touch. Doesnt mean immediately, just invariably.
I think that's supposed to be DmC... am I correct?JemothSkarii said:I agree with all of the above posts, but also this, my main problem with Youtube:

But considering that it also happens on other websites (except tThe Escapist) it's more likely my PC.
I think it just replaces the top comment with a new one that has even just a miniscule amount of likes after a while, if one crops up. It may revert back. EDIT: MiskWisk knows the answer to this better than I do so go read their post for the answer to this question.Double A said:What the actual fuck is their criteria for top comments these days? The two with the most thumbs up. Not the one one that just recently managed to scrape 3 thumbs up and now replaces the one with 150. Not the one that replied to the top comment. THE. TOP. COMMENTS. MOST THUMBS UP. FOR FUCKS SAKE.
And here I thought it was because of my crappy laptop.....Desert Punk said:My only rant has to do with the Audio
Seriously, on my laptop, desktop, and work computer if you pause and unpause a youtube video a few times it will stop having audio, making you reload the whole damn video to get your audio back.
This one I can answer. It replaces the top comments when they are no longer on the front page of the "show all comments" page thing. Why they only look at the front page is another question entirely but I suppose it gives variety on the top comments bit, even if it does mean stupid people get it on the most popular videos.Spambot 3000 said:Top Comments.
