Yeah, some guy was leaving this website (his name was joe or something) and it was basically a huge bitchfest so I told them all it wasn't that big of a deal, and now that I think back, it still was a bitchfest. Thats how I met Maxthereaper I do beleive. Or it was a religious debate.

My first post was in a "Your Favourite Song Lyrics" thread. In hindsight, I wish I'd picked something more thoughtful for my first post, like one of those people who were all like, "I've been lurking for ages but [this article] changed my life so I had to post" or something. Or maybe I would be just as embarrassed by that. At least Radiohead is pretty neutral.

"Jigsaw falling into place, so there is nothing to explain. You eye each other, as you pass. He looks back and you look back not just once, and not just twice..." (<3 Radiohead!)

Browsing through my posts, my first one was on a "Your view of the PS3" poll, to which I voted "average" and said:

I don't own one personally, seeming as I'm more of a PC gamer. If i was going to buy a console the only reason I'd go PS3 would be for MGS4 :S
Run of the mill.

Huh, apparently it was in this thread about this guy's cats that kept licking the xbox and chewing on the wires, and him asking why they were doing that. I responded "Your cat is hungry. Feed it."
I don't really know why I thought that warranted making an account but there you go.

I thought I remembered it, but it turns out it was actually my fifth post.

My first, I'm somewhat ashamed to say, was this:

I'm off to see what it was now.....

Edit: I was pretty much the same as I am now, but with lesser typing skills

No, I don't remember. Considering I only lurked in the video-forum for a long while, though, I'd say it was a comment on a ZP or UR clip.

Here's my first post. I didn't remember it, but then it was a while ago.

<spoiler=My First Post>I'm glad to here that Blu-Ray is starting to get the edge over HD-DVD since i have a PS3 and don't want to be left with a Betamax. As for Blu-ray for PC i don't see why not. The extra storage space could come in handy for the next generation of HD games. Though it isn't as much of an issue as it is for consoles. It is important to remember that the cost of Blu-ray will go down. It has only been a few years since DVD became the prefered medium for PC games, and i think the same will happen with Blu-ray as time passes. As for Downloads i watch a fair bit of TV on my Laptop nowadays (generaly because we dont have cable/satalite at home) but it can take AGES to download or stream large video files. Legal TV and Movie downloads are coming to the fore and i believe will play a big part of the entertainment of the future. That said, at least for the forseeable future, physical DVDs Blu-Rays etc aren't going anywhere.

That was posted on the 9th of January 2008. So what the hell did I do for the weeks after I signed up?

My first post;

I do buy DLC as long as it is a substantial gameplay addition or (shamefully) if it has additional achievements tied to it. I'm a little bit OCD in that sense and games companies probably know that a large majority of gamers are obssessive with completion of the games, thus take full advantage. (As seen by the recent hike in maximum retail gamerscore and the percentage of games with DLC achievements increasing).

N+ level packs, Banjo Kazooie LOG challenges ETC are all very welcome additions to a game as they allow me to enjoy something for longer. Soul Calibur IV costume packs for example are not.

What really annoys me is circumstances like Castle Crashers, where all the content is there you're just paying for the "door" to be opened to it. I still bought it I admit which will only encourage repeat performances in the future, but at least it abides by my rule of significant gameplay addition.

To raise a different point I think DLC like Tales of Vesperia is pushing it a little too far. 6000 MSP (roughly) to basically not play the game. Things like Gold, Levels and items can all be downloaded to "save" time earning it in game. I realise Tales wasn't the first, Burnout and Skate also spring to mind, but they do it so whole heartedly it's hard not to notice.

What really concerns me is the overall popularity of downloading is, and whether the future of a gaming may be slowly approaching a digital only marketplace. With game rentals behaving like movie rentals already in operation.

I remember mine, It was from the Unforgotten realms Episode 3.
I doubt It's the Kolbold because that didn't show up until Episode 7 originally although it might be you never know.
