Yup I have preordered it which dosent happen often, with the exception of Persona ultimate in mayonaka arena (maybe not spelt correctly) it is my most looked forward to game of the year I will almost certainly be maining Siegfried as usual with Cervantes as backup and if they have shifted Ivys moveset closer to Soul Calibur she will be third if not it may be Astaroth or Tira as I love her character but I am rubbish as playing her.
Really looking forward to the character creation mode I dont usually go in for these kinds of things but had great fun last time and this one looks even better, I am also looking forward to Dead or Alive 5 should be an awesome year for fighting game fans and about time to.

I'll get it, not very early on, depending on when it comes out i might get it for my birthday. I'm using Nightmare, though I'm not sure if he'll be in it because I understand the 'story' is changing somewhat, if I can't use Nightmare, whoever has the biggest sword will do.

I'm totally down for that. Just look up Devilhand Sage on Xbox Live and I'd be more than happy to throw down.

Also, I really, really, really, can't stand Natsu's design. Thankfully her player 2 costume isn't a sparkly tween diva ninja princess costume. God I f'n hate that design.

Heh. You hate Natsu's design? The more I look at Leixia the more ridiculous she looks. I keep imagining an ear of corn with a sword and a few too many Pixy Styx.

I'll probably borrow it from my cousin repeatedly, as I did with Soul Calibur IV.

I doubt SC5 will be the best Fighting game, but I love the customization in the series.

Mina, Talim and Setsuka. Oh wait, they aren't in the game. Well, Astaroth is always fun and Viola looks interesting.. but yeah...

Official roster has six unknown slots, and no word has been given on either Talim or Seung Mina, either for or against. Let's not jump to any conclusions here.

Setsuka, on the other hand, has been cut. I have no doubt her style will be for Create-A-Soul, though. No hard evidence, just gut feeling. Then again, I'm assuming most cut characters will have their styles turned over for character creation.

Kilik's out, so you'll likely be using Xiba, a staff wielder who seems to be Goku from Dragonball, but ginger.

Every time somebody complains that "UUUUUUGH! [CHARACTER X] ISNT THERE ANYMORE ", somebody else complains that it looks the same as IV...

WTF do you people want?

Here is Xiba, yes, he does look terrible... but give it time, you might learn to like him, or any of the other 27 characters.

Heh, fair point. I haven't really researched SCV until now (as you can no doubt see), although I've been with Kilik ever since Soul Calibur so you can understand my disappointment. I'm definitely not of the opinion that it looks the same as IV.

Eh, seen worse looking characters than Xiba, and from the footage I've seen his fighting style is nearly identical to Kilik's so I'll no doubt have just as much fun with him. Crisis averted!

Sadly, no. Soul Calibur 4 was a disappointment - it felt like a step back from Soul Calibur 3.

I'll just keep playing Soul Calibur 3. Apart from Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast (sadly, mine no longer works), it's my favorite in the series, and I only play locally anyway, so...

LOL I feel ya man, I'm really hoping her clothes, hair, voice, appearance, fighting style, etc. will be included in the character creation mode. Honestly they better put all characters in the character creation mode so we can at least re-create them. But they'll probably add them as DLC further down the road to get more $ from us, I already imagine Seung Mina, Sophitia, Kilik, Shura, etc. character sets for $1.99 each

I might rent it, though I doubt I'll buy it. The single player of SC IV was decent enough because the computer ACTUALLY FUCKING FIGHTS YOU and doesn't just spam a single cheap move over and over and over again like the vast majority of the people I met while trying to play it online.

Seriously, Taki has this quick little slice to your ankle that stuns you just long enough to let her do it again...and again...and again...and again. Basically the only way to break out of it is if you can pull off one of those perfect blocks that makes them stumble backwards. Since I always sucked at those, there was nothing I could do. Then there was the Vader attack that would send you across the screen and knock you down, allowing him to force lift you back to your feet and do the same attack again.

In short: I hate the SC multiplayer...people don't fight you, they find one move with their favorite character and spam it over and over again come hell or high water.

My complaints about the multiplayer aside, my favorite character was always a toss up between Cervantes and Mitsurugi. So if I did get the game, I'd imagine I'd be maining as one of those (or more specifically: my own created version of one of those).
