Not gonna lie you kinda sound like you took offense to the fact, and he has a point it doesn't matter if you like it not everyone cares for that kind of humor. And if you ask me I kinda hated South Park, I think it's really stupid and what little I did watch I did get the jokes and ideals they were pushing across. All in all I think they use current events as a framing device for a overall story and use it to cram in so many stupid jokes, and I could care less what you think of my thoughts on South Park because I'm pretty sure your going to go all "white knight" and try to defend it's honor by telling my episodes you like thinking I will like them too.BanthaFodder said:*stereotypical joke about wearing your finest coattails as you ride your high horse to the local opera/gala/high-brow comedy festival for the local nobility*Phlakes said:Of course. Personally, I've seen the six earliest seasons. They were stupid. I saw the point to the ones that had a point, and it was still stupid. Some people don't enjoy crude humor because it's immature. No matter how well-written it is or what message it's a front for, it's still immature.
yes, it's immature. but since when did "immature" translate into "stupid". it's okay to laugh at jokes about fecal matter and fish sticks, we won't think any less of you.
if you don't think it's funny, fine, but not being considered funn and being stupid are two very different things. as a matter of fact, using immature humor to get across an intelligent point is the exact OPPOSITE of stupid. Two and a Half Men isn't funny. Family Guy (post-revival) is stupid. Carlos Mencia is both of these things. South Park, whether you think it's funny or not (honestly, it's cool if you don't, I don't really care), the episode-long punchlines and hidden meanings are undoubtedly clever.
That's all Family Guy do, but people seem to like that. How anyone can like it after that pile of sh*t 'bird is the word' episode I don't know, but it seems the gene pool is in need of chlorination.paynexkiller said:Said like 'Trolling' has any meaning left.
It should die for those stupid episodes full of fart noises and random shit coming out of every where. Go see what Futurama did if you want to learn how to do commentary on current affairs.
Shhh be careful or the south park fans will think your to "high brow" just because you don't like a show they likeCasual Shinji said:South Park is now no more than an overly drunk comedian; It either needs to go into rehab or drive off a cliff and put an end to it all.
I own season 2 up through 10 on dvd, so no one could accuse me of that. And it was only after the 10th season that the quality of the show took a severe hit for some reason.Arehexes said:Shhh be careful or the south park fans will think your to "high brow" just because you don't like a show they likeCasual Shinji said:South Park is now no more than an overly drunk comedian; It either needs to go into rehab or drive off a cliff and put an end to it all.
What makes it so funny is that it does this while being set in the future.paynexkiller said:Said like 'Trolling' has any meaning left.

The last classic episode was Make Love, Not Warcraft. Even their recent Cthulhu inspired episode complete fell apart in the end.Frozen Donkey Wheel2 said:Meh, I honestly don't care. South Park got really crappy quite some time ago as far as I'm concerned.
