I am deeply torn between The Talisman and Wizard and Glass...but the second reminds me of a love I had at that age. The similarities between the story of Roland and Susan and what happened to me are...beyond words to say the least.

Boy....You missed so many books of his and put others that aren't really good.

You missed The Shning, Pet Semetary, Misery, Salem's Lot and Carrie. All probably more well known(and some much better) than Insomnia,Desperation, Eyes of the Dragon and The Talisman.

But my favourite...hmmm...to hard. Theres to many. Cause it's in the poll I'll go with The Dark Tower series, just cause of Roland "Fucking Badass" Deschain.

I tried to keep it within the realm of the Dark Tower series and which books had the greatest influence to it...

I forgot Salem's Lot however.

Why is there a poll attached to this? You list only a small fraction of books and keep the majority in the 'other' section. So, I won't be voting on the poll and look harshly on it.

Onto the topic of Stevey.
I'm iffy with Steven King. A lot of his books are overly vulgar and difficult to read because of that. And, most of his work you can see who he was heavily inspired from.
Then sometimes, I enjoy a bit of horror. Four Past Midnight kept a cool littler record of short stories. I'm wanting to read The Mist as well after watching and enjoying the movie.

Well, it should have been mentioned if that's the topic you want to talk about. Is this a topic on the Dark Tower? I'm confused now. If not, then it comes off as one mans biased look on Steven King.

Can't beat Pet Sematary, in my opinion and for that reason I'm rather annoyed you didn't include it in your poll, so just for reference that's what my vote was for and I can't understand for the life of me why it wasn't listed along with countless other Stephen King titles worthy of note.

I think Rose Madder was probably my favourite from the Dark Tower series.

Dark Tower series, although I do have a soft spot for post apocalyptic stories so I also like Cell and The Stand.

The Stand is part of the Dark Tower Series in principal.

Ah that makes more sense. But then again...Ain't the realm of The Dark Tower pretty much everything King wrote? There was a mention of Pet Semetary in Insomnia.

When Gage got killed by the truck if not wrong.

Yessir, it's not an official part of the series, but it's a direct relation and King speaks about any book containing characters, events, places, or other relative information as an honourary member of the series. Kind of like a second cousin.

If the book has a keyhole, a rose, and a gun symbol upon it...it's a part of the Dark Tower series.

Books like The Stand and Rose Madder aren't part of the Dark Tower series per se, but they are linked to it in certain ways, just the same as Insomnia and a couple of the other books. He said that he'd always been writing the story of Roland in one way or another, and it seeped into his other works by design or by accident.

OT: My favourite is the Stand by a long way, it's just epic. I loved the Dark Tower books but they did wane a bit towards the end. The Gunslinger does have one of the best opening lines in literature though.

Not zombies, something different, a de-evolution to create something much more deadly

Normally, I'd be hard-pressed to choose a favorite King book, but I have to say The Stand. I absolutely loved that book.

They are zombies, just different.
