Got one back in my room at home, bought something like 6 years ago. Only change on TV's was when around 20-year-old broke down and I bought a new flat for the living room.

I still have and use an SDTV, not everyone has the money for a $400+ television that would only be used for gaming anyway, which I don't do on console very much anymore so... yeah, not a huge amount of reason to upgrade if I'm being honest.

Sorry about that. I totally forgot about that detail regarding the lag. Is there a setting in the game's option menu that allows to change the input lag? I remember that Guitar Hero 2 had something like that.
Noooooooope. Twas before Guitar Hero.(Was Harmonix's first rhythm game I believe) I don't think HDTV's were as prevalent at the time so they felt no need to make provisions for it
The only other option I can think of is to hope for a re-release of Frequence. You could try and see if there are any PS3s that have 4 usb ports (the 60GB, 20GB, and certain 80GB models) being sold at Gamestops in your area, but that would be a somewhat expensive, and possibly annoying endeavor. And even if you went with the second option, I have no idea if an HDMI will have a significant delay or not.

While we do have a supposedly HD tv in my living room, that's the one my mother uses to watch tv. The one I use for gaming is this big blocky thing from the 90s. I did have a 22" LCD tv but for awhile we thought the last power outage had burned it out. We discovered it was only one of the cords that was fried but my father has commandeered it for... I don't know what.

The TV in my bedroom is a little SD box. I've had it for nearly ten years now; say what you want about those TVs, they're built to last.

Mind you, all it's got is a DVD player, so it's not like I'm playing PS4 games on it (though that would be weird). The living room TV where all that happens is an HD.

We have 1 HDTV, 2 turn-of-the-century analogue TVs, & a cheap low res flatscreen TV for the kitchen. Oddly enough, none of us really watch much TV.

I haven't had a CRT in quite a while. However, I do have a standard definition 15 inch LCD TV in my bedroom. I got it ages ago when I divorced. For the longest time it just sat there and did nothing as I never bothered to get a digital tuner when the switchover happened. I managed to snag one from a buddy about a year ago so it gets used now. However, it's only on for maybe 45 minutes on weekend mornings so I can have the Today show on while getting ready for work.

My gaming TV is a large HD one, but most every other TV in the house is a standard. Such as the one in my bedroom that I play PS2 on, or the one in the dining room that my N64 is hooked to. I don't mind staying in the past. (My bedroom one also has a VHS/DvD player on it too :p)

No, though I wish I did. I can't fit one on my room. All of them HD TV's I've tried my 360 and PS3 on make games look shitty, with aliasing for days. I remember playing my 360 on a the SDTV we don't use any more and ganes looked great; minus the massive pixels.

So far HD TV's and monitors have been a disappointment for me. Defintely not going to get rid of my CRT monitor(s) any time soon.

I upgraded to HD in 2011 when my old TV broke beyond repair, it was a massive waste of money since i don't watch TV and my PC monitor is big enough to fully enjoy any movie or a video game, but it does come in handy when i want to watch a movie with friends.

this may seem strange but i take a bit of pride in resisting new technology, so the tv i use for gaming is SD, heck only reason i upgraded my psone to a ps2 is because it got stolen. and im not going to bother getting a WiiU because i dont like how nintendo is strongarming you into upgrading by turning off services on the wii, so yeah I mainly use SD, if you need an HD tv for Ps4 (gotta get it for elderscrolls online, dragon age 3 and kingdom hearts 3 :) ) ill prolly save up for one, but for now im not buying into the HD craze.

finally got rid of our last CRT TV last summer, and i was bummed about the input lag on my 1080p 120Hz TV (47 ms) when it came to using my Wii/SNES/PS2 on it until i found an external composite-to-HDMI upconverter. it was $50, but plays composite video to either my HDTV and my 1080p computer monitor via HDMI with practically zero lag since the conversion is hardware based (instead of the much laggier software upconversion), so i eliminated the only thing making me want to keep a CRT TV around.

the main TV in the apartment is SD and that likely won't change anytime soon. I don't own any HD console, I don't have the HD cable package, I don't watch a lot of TV in general and the current TV works when I do watch so I can't see spending the money to replace it at this point.

I bought a big HDTV right after buying a PS3. Played Burnout for half an hour on my old CRT, said "Yeah, this ain't happenin'," and drove to the store.

I have a 42" LCD 1080p HDTV in my bedroom and a 40" CRT in the livingroom. Honestly, aside from the HDTVs huge widescreen size and light weight I prefer the CRT. Since I can't afford LED HDTVs, the contrast on the CRT is much better than the LCD HDTV. LCD can't produce proper blacks, but CRTs and LEDs can.
