i have only had TF2 for a brief period 2 months at the most and im a Free to player. but i thought that having Female's would have been a really good idea to have in a game and would have personally been on my list of things to Add to TF2.

if they did add Girls then there are more characters instead of the same people running around with a Top hat and stuff. they wouldn't even need to change any hats. even if you type Girl's in TF2 lots of photos and drawing of it pop up.

So alot of people are after it, but i want the Escapist's opinion here. Do we need girls in TF2?

please Explain your answer

Sure, why not.

I really couldn't care less.

I just hope that people don't complain about how the girls look slutty and blah blah blah etc.

Didn't you know the pyro may or may not be a girl?

Really, it's because you each class has its siloette and a female versions could throw it outta wack.

And VALVe is too busy making more HATS!

There are rumours abound that Pyro is a female... :p

But eh, sure, why not? Like the person above, I don't really care that much :3

I will first please ask you to learn the correct use of the apostrophe.

Now, moving on. No, it's not necessary. There's no real reason to have them. If someone could give me an ACTUALLY beneficial reason to include them, then by all means, I'd be fine with it, but until then, no. They're not needed.

It's certainly an idea, but you have to remember that if it were instituted, the pervs on DeviantArt would take advantage of the new plethora of breasts. Heck, the existence of that picture means they're already theorizing about it. Imagine what it'd be like if there actually were women in TF2?

That said, I endorse the idea.

Not to sound sexist or anything (even though someone will say it in this world of political correctness gone mad) but what would be the point?

Not getting at you i'm genuinely curious to find out if there would be a point?

Meh, it´s something that really doesn´t concerne me much. I see no wrong in putting girls in the game, and good for Valve if they decide to so, but the game itself is already good, and it wouldn´t change anything. So go, TF girls.

This reminds me of all the controversy over Brink. I didn't get it then and I don't get it now. It's a first-person game... who cares what your character looks like?

TF2's silhouettes have been ruined enough without adding twice as many more to the already eclectic mix. Anyway what's with this sudden trend in asking for female alternatives to male protagonists?

I have to agree, I've never seen a real point to it. There's also the fact that the design for female TF2 characters would be very far removed from the picture up there, and follow more along these [http://celestial298.deviantart.com/favourites/#/d25u6kp] lines. Very similar to the male, aside from general body shape and a couple accessories, I'm not sure how the fanbase would react to that. Probably negatively.

Doesn't really make sense to do in team fortress, an already completed game. There's nothing wrong with more playable females (Valve's next major multiplayer title, Dota 2 for example has plenty of playable females.), but TF2's characters were designed with their silhouettes in mind to help discern character classes at a distance.

Plus, the "meet the" videos, in-game dialogue, and the online fandom has gone to GREAT lengths to characterize the playable classes' unique (though a little one-dimensional) and humorous personalities. Changing the existing characters' genders, or adding new characters which share the same class, plus new voice-overs seems like an unnecessary amount of work for this already released game.

In retrospect, maybe they could have made a couple of the existing classes female to begin with, and no personality would be lost, and diversity would be gained, but this seems like something to concern the development team on a future game, not TF2.

In the same universe as Saxton Hale im amazed we even have the Announcer, and maybe her assistant.

Anyway i happen to know theres many many mods ranging from skins to voice actors to eviscerate the male (except maybe the Pyro...) characters from the game and replace them with a variety of wemonfolk who can lift Sasha with arms an 8th of the size of the regular Heavies.

That and Valve really cant be bothered. The ammount of game content has increased nearly eightfold over the years and thats enough to keep me happy.

What's the point? Nothing is lost by not including them, nothing is gained by including them.

This is why we don't have Females.

If we had female counterparts to the males, they wouldn't be little waif sized anime-esque girls with big tits. They'd be angry, middle aged bursting muscle rather unpleasant looking. However, tell that to the Rule 63 pervs on DA.
