He did say he was preventing (not curing himself, merely lessening the effects) it quite successfully with a less-than-easily-available-to-the-average-Joe-drug. He was pretty pissed that Viagara was easier to get commercially than it.
Did you watch the programme about him going all over the place testing out cures and such?

I like the Discworld series, used to read a lot of them, then I branched out into everything else. Particularly delicious Sherlock Holmes.
I like your taste =D

Are you, by any chance, fond of Asimov's work?

I haven?t read much of him but I do think he is great
My favorites would the night watch ones just because of Corporal Carrot (best charter ever)
I am reading going postal at the moment and will probably finish it tonight
Any reconditions

Oh just wondering any one here read the truckers trilogy
Go with Maskerade! You don't need any prior knowledge of the Witches series to read it, and it's a marvellous parody of The Phantom of the Opera and Opera in general.
Screw foreknowledge, go with any of the books!

Knowing the characters is not needed, it m=only adds an extra flavour when you re-read them!

However, I'm most fond of Granny Weatherwax and the Patrician, cos they remind me of me, closely followed by Death and the Librarian.

I would list other cool characters, but there's too many

Sadly I do not usually watch television, so I didn't even know about it. I read it in an article about his being diagnosed. I was suitably crestfallen when hearing about his Alzheimers.

I'm a big Pratchett fan myself. Fond of course of the Night Watch series.

It's just his ability to twist logic around and make references, it has me in stitches.

wow. Overwhelming that there is no one on here who has heard of him that doesnt like him

The man is awesome as are his characters, comedy and ability to write a spoof

Legend and may his writing not be impaired by his unfortunate contraction of altzheimers (spelling) for years to come

I demand everyone reads Unseen Academicals, its one of his best damn books ever. Hilariously funny and a really good plot, I don't wanna say anymore for fears of spoiling it but trust me its awesome.

You know, I've been meaning to read his books, but I'm trying to hunt down a copy of Frankenstein at the moment. Are they any good?

I love how so far the votes are all in either Yes or Haven't read any.
I haven't read any, but I am tempted.

I've read all his Discworld books, most of them several times. The first one was mind-numbingly awsome and they have been steadily improving since.

They are excellent.

I can recommend 'Robots and Empire' and all of the Elijah Bailey books, though all of Asimov's work it phenomenal

Secondly, mainly because I'm reading it at the moment, try out Hyperion by Dan Simmons. It's also amazing

Bahhaha!

I've read almost all of his.

Bloody fantastic.
Damn shame about the Alzheimers, though.
Well he's still prevailing over it. I hope he doesn't reach the point where he thinks he's Sam Vimes.

Anyways, love him! He is a genius.

I never liked him until I read the back page (the one with summary) of his book Color of magic. Biiiig mistake. Now I've read all of his books (in English) and some of them again in my language (just to see the difference) and I own some translated and some of his original books.

I have to say that I'm addicted.
