The amazing thing about these threads is people dont notice theres other stuff than just the avatars like watching a movie with your party heck me and the guys on my friends list already have a movie night

So what if the Xbox is looking to make more money? Lets face the facts, it's a business. Let me repeat that again, "It's a business!" Here in America we believe that people have the right to try to make money off of their work. If this is something that allows them to make a little more money than so be it. You dont have to buy it because that is YOUR right as a consumer. Plus, the update comes with some additional stuff that doesnt cost me anything that can add to the functionality of it all so I dont mind it.
As a PS3 owner, I can only say the new dashboard update, and the addition of avatars cannot be more pointless than Playstation Home. At least the avatars are just there for all the see when you log on, you don't have to actively go into a sterile asinine virtual world to wave at someone in your gap shirt and pants you paid £5 for. Also how come it hasn't come to the UK yet?! It's fucking data! How can data that is identical to that in american take longer to come to the UK? I hate this nationalism bullshit. It's interesting how so much better Japan PS Home was too. Grr ¬_¬
it is kinda meh and like what most people have been saying about the clothes you dont have to buy them. the clothes still are not as bad as buying furniture in home. it is just as stupid if not more and costs more for something less people will probably see.
In Australia we dont even know if we getting a tv thing or netflix.......I want it......also our tv thing is Foxtel....get that for AU gamers.....
If people want to pay for avatar clothes then let them but I'm more interested in the ability to unlock avatar clothes with achievements. I don't know why they didn't do that from day one. The rating system will be good although I won't be trusting it entirely. Generally speaking though, if everyone gives a game 1 star then it's probably not worth your money. I couldn't care less about the twitter or facebook things.

Well I'm in the UK preview and I can say its a good update - if only because the dashboard is now quicker and easier to use. The avatar clothing options are limited but interesting and the rating system pretty pointless. The "hidden" updates to the dash are extremely useful however.
