The title probably is a little mis-leading, but it was the only way, at the time I thought of this, I could properly ask it. I would like to see what you guys, and gals, think the question most asked is.

To be clear, I ask that, if you do poll, your choice is, in your opinion, what the question most asked IS and not what SHOULD BE. Of all of humanity's questions and musings, on every topic and subject imaginable, which of the poll options has been used the most to question these things, is what I'm trying to ask.

I'm trying to see if my hunch on this issue is correct, so I thought I'd post this here and see if you guys, and gals, could help me.

You forgot "Bacon?".
I am trying to keep this somewhat serious. However, if you wish to post that that is your opinion, feel free to do so. You won't see me type any complaints about it. Oddly enough, I just had a small bacon pizza for dinner before posting this. Kinda weirded out now.

I figure "What" is the most common.
Ex.; "What the f---?!"
"What's your problem?!"
"What the hell is going on in here?!"

I figure that the majority of questions asked would have to start with "Why"

"Why are we here?"
"Why does the sun rise and set?"
"Why is there so much traffic?"
"Why is the toast black?"

You just have to listen to a curious child and you will hear that 90% of the things that come out of their mouth begins with the word "why"

That's the reasoning behind my answer anyway.

I might have a different approach to answering this question, but here goes:

Throughout our history as a knowledge seeking species, we have observed and deduced, theorized and solved. We see an action or phenomenon happen, and we've asked ourselves "why?" as in, "why does this occur when certain parameters are met?" or "how?", as in "how exactly does that work?".

Speaking only for myself on this, of course, when something picks my interest, I want to find out as much I can about the subject, gaining knowledge and discover patterns and similarities withing other related aspects. I imagine this must be the case for others as well, and thus I want to say that the question most asked is "why?" or "how?".

At least, that's what I hope. I don't know if I've answered your original question correctly, but this is the answer I'm providing.

I'm pretty sure most questions come back down to "what."
"Where is...?" is another way of saying "What is the location of...?"
"When is...?" is another way of saying "What is the time of..."
"Why...?" is another way of saying "What caused...?"
etc. etc.

"What?" happens more often than "why?", but I get "why?" a lot more often.

"What" is probably most used.
What's going on, what is this, what are you doing with that?

"How" is what I'm asked the most. Usually "How did you do that?" after most of my incredibly regular amazing feats.
When you're a superhero, you get used to it.

I'm not trying to be a dick but the OP needs some serious work on his/her commas, especially on the first sentence of the second paragraph.
I take no offense. I tend to over grammar Nazi myself to a fault, but I take criticisms like I do vegetables. Quietly, because I know that most are good for me.
