If the 'ask a ____' threads come back again, I shall be very annoyed. The only good one is ace_of_something's original 'ask a cop thread' and his latest one.
A similar thing was starting to happen in Politics and Religion, with 'Ask a Baptist' and 'Ask a Buddhist'. I nearly shit myself. Thank G-d it went away.

OT: Furburt kind of stole my words.

That, and God of War III. Like it's the Second Coming, while it probably is just GoW I again in different locales and more beasties and blood. Agh, now I did it myself... Bad Zala!

How is this thread on the second page and noone mentioned zombie apocalyse threads yet. I hate 'em and I love all things zombie. Also, the best way to die threads. Enough already.
I was just about to post the exact same thing. Except I don't love all things Zombie.

Relationship threads. The majority of us(myself included) are reclusive gamers who have had little to no sexual contact with a lot fewer sexual partners than a lot of people our age. Why the fucking would we care what you want to put your cock into, and why would you want advice from us?

Threads saying how awesome the OP's avatar is. Seriously, we've had some rampant threads on that very topic.
This, I mean seriously, how insecure can someone be that they have to be assured that their avatar is great in order to feel good about themselves. A certain person even made a poll on weather or not we cared about him changing his avatar, I mean just because you post a lot doesn't mean I give a damn about your avatar.
You appear to have taken my joke, and perversed it with spite.

Shame on you.
It was a joke? Darn! Well, I really do think that its kind of stupid, and I really did see a thread on that which I thought was pointless so I thought you were serious. OK, I don't know what you mean? Could you elaborate?

Just say people whining about any game before it's released.

Also, I'm surprised with the amount of hate for games about recent videogames, given that this is a videogame magazine website. I know over saturation makes things less fun, but it's not like you can do anything about it. If a game is good/popular, people are going to talk about it.

Me, I'm sick and tired of the classic "What will Yatzhee think about ________"
Or the worst is the "The video for today is ten minutes late! Why is there no video?! Is anyone else angry?!"
Fair enough. The FF thing has just been my pet peeve of late. The Yathzee thing does get old, but I typically avoid it. The hate on unreleased games stuff draws me in every time.

I was complimenting the OP's avatar. Seriously, look at it! Awesome (Your's ain't shabby either :D )

About 4 months ago I made a thread asking for a good idea for a Avatar change because I couldn't decide. I then settled on the Gman smiley one until about 2 weeks ago when I changed it. I assumed your comment was coldly pointed at me, mind you the details were a little off.

Bah, if that's not what you meant then I had a lapse of thought and we can leave it at that.

the "Is he a troll" thread was... poor. Interesting "Ask A" threads are good... But seriously "ask a Doctor" yeah, there's this thing called a hospital for that. Most of all though. I hate threads which just say "take it away". The OP doesn't give any information as to what to do >.<

Threads asking for help with personal issues.

Seriously, we're on the internet, a cybernetic hell built upon lies and deceit. Yet they go 'round, asking complete strangers in who-knows-where, asking for help getting a girlfriend or getting over the fact that their goldfish died.

Threads starting with "Am I the only one that..." or some variation thereof, because no. This is the internet, you are never bloody alone in your sentiment, nor special for it.

i actually wasn't talking about you, the guy who posted the thread wasn't asking if if was a good idea to change his avatar, he was asking what we thought of his new avatar which I found kind of egomaniacal.

And useless list threads.

Seriously, I once saw 'Ask a girl'!

As if I can't just ask a girl in real life!
Some guys can't go near a girl without getting all spineless.
Sadly those are the kinds of guys who people cite as being the typical internet user. I see myself as a geek and yet I pulled a really hot girl in a club on Wednesday, and I have no real problems with tehz ladiez... The point is, the spineless guys are a minority, at least in my experience (I know several self-confessed nerds and geeks IRL, most of whom are in happy relationships). Yet the uninformed masses who don't spend loads of time online think we're all unwashed loners with no social skills, which is a shame...

Anyway, back on topic. Overdone threads? Anything about Halo or Twilight. If you don't like them, then don't read/watch/play/buy them. But don't complain about them either. Oh, and more recently, Half-Life 2 Episode Three threads are getting annoying. People just don't seem to take into account that there are multiple teams at Valve working on different projects, yet they still complain (without evidence) that L4D2 meant HL2E3 development was pushed back.

So yeah, to summarise, Halo, Twilight and Half-Life threads are all getting extremely old and annoying.

Oh, OK so I just went insane temporarily, and then this was never discussed again, up makes sense.

;)
