I'm assuming this is the Robert Downer Jr. and Jude Law combo Sherlock Holmes.
If so, good for you you've found news from two years ago :)

I adored the reboot movie and I'm really looking forward to Downey's next portrayal of Holmes on the big screen.

My first reaction was complete enthusiasm, the first movie was an amazing script that has more twists and turns than i could ever hope for, plus an awesome cast and amazing scenes. The fact that they are filming a second one really makes me look forward to the release. Yet then i started thinking, will this new movie turn out like most sequels and be half as good as the first? Should we just have the amazing movie stand on it's own? which one will this new movie be: a second that belittles the first or a great second addition to an already amazing title? What do you think?
I liked the first one, mostly because of the guy who played Holmes (Robert Downing Jr?). That is the same reason I saw both Ironmans...

Oh and you misused "it's" in your second question you should have typed "its".

I have only one question concerning a Sherlock Holmes sequel
Will it feature the Hound of the Baskervilles?
I think that's a question everyone's asking.

I was surprised at how good the first one was. But with Guy Ritchie at the helm and Robert Downey Jr. (assisted by a more than capable Jude Law) acting in it it should be good.
Plus they have Stephen Fry in it, and I don't think he's lent his name to a bad film yet.

I serverly hope that this doesn't suffer from sequelitis.

Not really big news, predictable news really, who wouldn't have guessed there would be a sequal when:
1) It made that much money,(and was awesome)
2) It showed that Moriarty was in it. He wouldn't even need to physicaly be in it to get a sequal, could just be a note on the end of the movie signed Professor Moriarty.

Still looking forward to it though ;)

Just so long as it doesn't come out at the same time as the new series of Sherlock.
That would just be confusing.

Robert Downey Jr. can do no wrong.
This. Him and Jude Law work surprisingly well together. I wasn't really that big of a Guy Ritchie fan, either, but the first movie really did change my thoughts on the man. I am looking forward to this.

Based on the trailers and current film trends I decided not to see it (the first one), it looked fucking awful but I selected "don't care either way" as I will just choose not to watch it.

I do really enjoy the Basil Rathbone era Sherlock Holmes, as I say contemporary Hollywood cinema jsut doesn't sit comfortably with my perception of the 'mythic meaning' of Sherlock Holmes.

Sounds good to me, and as mentioned above; Stephen Fry is possibly playing Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's older brother. That is awesome...

I decided to get hyped about this movie the moment I heard that Noomi Rapace was going to be in it!

The title makes it sound like you're surprised that they're making a sequel? It's obvious surely? I think it could be quite good especially finally with the unveilling of Moriarty, plus as someone said Noomi Rapace staring. I think Sherlock Holmes is the best thing Guy Ritche has done in ages.

I'm entirely enthusiastic about this turn of events. Look at me. You can tell that I'm excited beyond all rationality.

Of course! All the signs were there in the first film. Should be good, the first film left enough room for improvement.
