Poll: To kill

I think there is really only one person I have ever known that I would consider.

But, as anyone who has ever been in the military has told me, killing is never as easy as it sounds. It's not like the movies. It should never be treated lightly.

So I dunno. Probably not.

The act of killing is, for me, completely dependent on the murderer.

For a person who has lost nothing, or believes in the best of Humanity, killing someone would be akin to ripping out one of his organs.

For a person who has lost everything, he believes he will have nothing to lose but will probably regret it soon.

For a person who is insane, they will think nothing of the person they murdered, nothing at all, but they will always remember.

Anyone who murders another human being must always be prepared for the Consequences, saying that a murder will have none seems blind to me. Even if society will accept him again, even if the law will not punish him, the taking of a human life will forever scar your memories or, if it exists, your soul.

....yes, i chose to kill someone. A person who had completely changed who i am. and whom i hate for it.
........and i will accept those consequences.

I've threatened, but I've never fully planned on killing anyone. I'm not evil, or jerkassy enough to do that.

But then again, I've never truly been pushed...

Would I have a reason too kill said person ? Would I get to chose which person ? .. in the end it really depends but killing just so I can say I killed someone would be a definite NO, and it would have to be a very good reason/motivation to kill someone with or without punishment.

I suppose...that depends on who I'm killing.

Someone who deserves it/I dislike to that level? I suppose so, yes. People who piss me off usually need to be dead anyways (*Coughstoremanagercough*). But, this is just a matter of opinion.

Someone completely random, that I probably don't know? Absolutely not. I'd have no quarrel with them, so why would I kill them? It'd be senseless violence.

I wouldn't kill anyone, because the only people on here who are even remotely prepared for the emotional fallout taking a life would cause are those in the military, and I'm not in the military.

I've given this a lot of thought (about 2 minutes' worth ), and I've come up with "no". Killing aliens/demons/zombies/opponents in the arena/darkspawn/hellspawn/etc in the virtual word is enough for me!

No, I like to think that I'm a well-adjusted individual that doesn't need or desire to kill someone in cold blood. Hell, even in self defence I'd avoid taking someone's life - is that compassion or weakness? You decide...
