Neither. It's sat vertically on the cupboard in front of me the toilet.
What's that? No, I'm not answering this on the can, why would you think that?

B, definitely B. There is no other way it should be done. Not only is it more aesthetically pleasing, the paper can be torn off with one hand when using a 'proper' dispenser, with a top flap to trap the roll in place.

B, otherwise the cat pulls it down and shreds it. I dunno why she only does it if it's the one way, but TP doesn't grow on trees. Well it does, but I have to pay for it.

A, if you take B the cats will play with it and scratch it all to hell when you're not looking.
Huh. I guess cats have preferences on TP orientation too.

And there was me coming in ready for a grand old discussion on the orientation of my wiping.

So, grisly expectations aside, that's definitely a B for me. You want it free-standing rather than rubbing up against the wall where it's harder to grab and more likely to accumulate muck.

Last time I logged on this thread didn't exist. Now it's got 25 replies. People have an unhealthy interest in this stuff.

With that said: B. My dirty hand won't touch the wall that way,

Then you have no need for toilet paper, and your opinion is suspect.

My vote goes for skipping the paper and just using the three sea shells.

A is almost mandatory for anyone with a cat.
Pretty much this. I set it up as A, even before I got a cat, mostly because I get annoyed if momentum makes the roll trail down to the floor after someone has torn it. So yeah, A.

Ahaha... Someone spotted the punny implications of what I said...
Well done.

Have a cookie. I promise, I washed my hands before making it...

Probably...

Like the majority here I go with over, which is "B" in this case.
I have just always done it that way, if I am visiting someone who has it going under I won't change it, but I will comment on it, you can be sure about that :D

Are you implying that momentum somehow wouldn't keep it unspooling if you hung it backwards? I suppose that, mount permitting, you could press it against the wall to stop movement, but if your hand's already on the roll, you could just manually stop the rotation.

And what's with all of these people who apparently can't rip toilet paper? You do know it's not supposed to be made of metal, right?

Do you happen to have a larger version of that image? It would be very helpful for my arachnophobia research.

Also option 'B'.

Is the cat issue really that common? I have had 4 cats and none of them unrolled the toilet paper.
