Poll: Too Cute to Kill?

Ok, My Dad just came in after finishing Portal. One thing he said about it was that he couldn't "kill" the cute little turrets. By kill, I mean drop so they deactivate and say things such as "Goodnight" or "Whyyyyy?". Instead, he picked them up and turned them around to face corners where they couldn't hurt him, but were also left unharmed.

His reasoning? They were cute.

So I ask you, did you kill them? Or couldn't you?
I killed some, but left others alone.

Edit: Just realised this should go in Gaming Discussion. Sorry, I'm too used to Off-Topic. If anyone with power is feeling generous, a move would be appreciated.

yeah, I ended up killing all of them in game, you could never be too careful. I remember I tried to leave one by a wall, but accidentally flicked it against the corner, and it fell over facing me and shot me to ribbons...
I don't kill them all in challenges, because it's a waste of time.
EDIT: I don't exactly find the turrets cute because of their voice, in the same way I don't get aroused by SatNav sexy female voices. The turrets are just... well they're evil. They got me so many bastard times in-game it's hard to count or sympathise when you're throwing blocks at them or throwing them into the sludge

I'll admit that I'm a bit more hesitant to kill those things than Nazis, but if something makes itself an enemy of mine then I will do my duty to kill them as efficiently as possible. That's the sort of killer I am. A killing... machine, if you will.

What's really funny is piling a bunch of the turrets on top of each other, placing a portal next to the barrier, and then placing a portal beneath the turrets.
