I'm sorry but I get the feeling this is an anti-religion hidden under the pre-text "the truth."

When it comes to matters of after life there is no "truth" and there can not be. You debate that how you feel, but no one man can be entirely certain, its called believing something, whatever you believe is fine, however saying that yours is the "truth" is bullshit, because you will have no proof.

Big lies, i like to avoid. Those really do have a tendancy to come back and bite you later on. Smaller little lies, i tell them all the time. I make up all kinds of stories about how my day went and such, that seem funny, but only happened in my head.

I dunno, it seems kinda strange to ask a question, that will attract liars, and expect them to tell the truth, about lying, and expect them not to lie.

You know what would be a funny idea? If you are at your deathbed and you blink and never die. You figure out you are immortal and you spend the rest of eternity constantly experiencing new things. You go out to a infinite universe and wander trying to satisfy your overactive curiosity and live happily ever after. Only that's more like a dream, and you are actually dead.

Really if the "truth" about everything is right, than people can believe what they want. It doesn't matter in the end anyways, and they can think whatever makes them feel better.

How goes that old saying again? "Honesty is the best policy."

It's full of truth, mind you.

How about this, then. The truth is that there has been no evidence presented by anyone that there -is- an afterlife, so why live your life as if there was one?

If anything I'm a liar by omission. I try hard not to lie, but I often don't add details which might be hard to process or handle.

I don't like people who lie outright. I can handle other people ommitting truths when talking to me, because otherwise I'd be a hypocrite, but I don't lie to them, so they shouldn't lie to me.

I wasn't here to say there is or isn't one, all I was saying there is no proof to say there is or isn't.

As for the question, because, on the off chance there is, you know your safe. And if your wrong, there won't be any repercussions. Also, don't bother feeding me the "But what if it stops you from living life to its fullest" because whats to say you didn't enjoy living life that way? and you're dead, so why does it matter?

I'm the person who wants to know the truth, and will do a great deal to get it.

But i understand why people avoid it. Ignorace is Bliss, and it always feels good to be blissfully unaware.

It's not so much learning the truth that is our goal. We are changed by the journey it takes to find the truth..

To find the answers, we must first open our eyes and find the path, from there we must walk softly and carry a big gun...

I lie alot, and people lie to me a lot,
thats just the way it is, I do not mind it as there is usually a reason behind the lie.

To quote Chris Rock

"Men, we lie all the time. You know what a man's lie is like?
A man's lie is like, l was at Tony's house. l'm at Kenny's house. That's a man's lie.

A women's lie is like, ''lt's your baby.''

Who the biggest liars?
Women the biggest liars.

Masters of the lie, the visual lie.

Look at you. You got on heels, you ain't that tall. You got on makeup, your face don't look like that. You got a weave, your hair ain't that long. You got a Wonderbra on, your titties ain't that big. Everything about you is a lie, and you expect me to tell the truth?

I want to pretend (hopefully I'm not) that there's an afterlife, because If there isn't I'll be dead, and if there is, I'd be happy. If I knew there wasn't, I'd never do anything risky.
I also like to think that there is an afterlife. Could you imagine how it would be to just cease to exist? As an entity and as a whole, what would happen? It... makes my head... bluescreen just thinking about it.

It is important, the truth. Without it, you could go insane, and you'd never understand what was right and wrong.
