Poll: Uncharted 2: completely overrated

So about a month ago I bought a ps3 and Uncharted Drakes Fortune. I didn't like it that much but I heard the second one was a lot better. So I played through the first one then the other day I bought the critically aclamed sequal only to have the exact same opinion as I did of uncharted 1. I meen it was ok, but it didn't desurve to win GOTY for everything. So I wonder if I'm alone with this opinion, did you like Uncharted 2.

I completely loved Uncharted 2 and thought it was one of the best games 2009.

It was definitely a good game with extremely good production values, but it has been over hyped. I wouldn't call it the best game of 2009, much less the best game ever.

its a really good game imo, love the cast and the story and the cutscenes, they have awesome dialogue and gameplay, its pretty smooth and can get my heart pumping in some spots, especially if you run out of ammo, which happens ALL THE TIME in the first one, they fixded that for the second game tho

they do a good job too in adding shooting + jumping + hand to hand + a cover system, alot of games fail or can't put them together, and uncharted does that amazingly

its a good game skill level wise too, on easy mode you can adjust to the game and on hard mode its ridiculous

overall its the best shooter story i have played in a long time, and the guns/gameplay i like alot too, so it possibly deserved the goty spot imo

I thought it was pretty damn good. It was a better tomb raider game than the last 2 tomb raider games. Not Legend though, that game was awesome.

Eh, it was good. Not my personal GOTY by a country mile, but it was fun. I wouldn't say it's a bad game, but I wouldn't say its spectacular either. I would agree wit the statement that it is over rated, but it's still a good game.

Not the best game of the year in my opinion, but I had a hell of a time playing it and loved how it was executed. So I guess that "Pretty good" is the closest to sum it up for me.

I found it was a blast when I played through it last week. I hadn't bought into the hype much (since when it was released I still didn't have the economical means to get a PS3) and as such just picked it up because I liked the first game. I wasn't disappointed, that's for sure and I find that it is one of those games where I went from one "That's awesome!" moment to the next with just enough regularity that it was always awesome but never too much.

In short: I loved it and don't find it overrated.

I found it to be a great game, and the best of the genre of adventure games in my book.

While it may not be the best game ever made, and anyone is perfectly free to not think it their thing and thus a bad expirience for them (I personally didn't like LBP, MGS4 and Killzone 2), there's no denying the that the quality of the title is very high.

It couldn't be more obvious that you cited no support to your claim considering you probably didn't even play it and are just suckling Yahtzee's teet. The writing is very clever and is brought to live by very realistic facial expressions.

It's nominated for the Writers Guild of America's Video Game Writing Award, if that doesn't explain it to you, then you probably think Halo has good writing.

but it's so goshdarned corny. i actually like the game itself, it's pretty amazing, but the characters and their dialogue make me barf.

oh and yes actually i was quite happy when i saw that Yahtzee agreed with me!
