The Quarians did not know about how the geth feel. Hell it took ME2 to understand the TRUE geth. Even then, a computer virus would wipe the geth out. Computer herpes, the best weapon since the spear.
What's your point? Even if it's understandable as to why Tali is racist, it still doesn't make it any better. Besides, when confronted with proof of the Geth's true nature, she still is in favor of killing them all she can get her precious homeworld back.
And I don't get why people bother pointing out that the Geth can be killed by computer viruses. It's the equivalent of humans being killed by organic viruses.

All of your points are made almost completely invalid by the fact that the Geth are emotionless machines.
Except they're not. I don't get how so many people can play
Mass Effect 2 and still think the Geth are emotionless. The Geth are developing primitive emotions. An example of this is Legion taking Shepard's N7 armor. From a logical standpoint, Legion had no reason to use the N7 armor over a more durable material. He took it because it has sentimental value to him due the respect the Geth have for Shepard. Now the Geth don't understand these emotions themselves, but it doesn't change the fact that they are still there.
By your logic, the machine uprising in the Terminator movies was ok because humanity was planning on using Skynet and machines as a yet another soulless method to wage war.
Completely different scenario, so I don't see what the relevance is.
Are you even serious about the whole "Tali is being a racist" in the first place? This whole thing smells like an attention grab by being "different" in your views on the Geth.
How does that make any sense? In
Mass Effect 2, you're given plenty of options to support the Geth. Siding with the Geth is hardly abnormal, as you seem to suggest. Now if this was
Mass Effect 1 I'd agree with you, since there's little to suggest the Geth are anything more than a hivemind bent on wiping out all organic life. But
Mass Effect 2 completley changes all of this.

Not trying to start any fires, but I know exactly what happened. I was playing my copy of the first mass effect, I looked through the codex one time, and the narrator voice told me that when the geth became sentient, they realized that they were enslaved computers. And if anyone has ever paid attention in history class, Slavery leads to a slave revolt. The geth found ways to sneek weapons shipments in, armed themselves, and started busting energy caps in every organic in sight, mainly Quarians. And since the geth can wirelessly hack into computers, they took control of almost everything. More and more weapons came into the geth's possession, allowing them to better arm themselves and take over the planet. The quarians gathered what ever they could and evacuated. Now they're stuck in those enviro-suits, looking for a new planet.
It's important to note that the Quarians started the conflict by attempting to shut down the Geth before they became a problem. They just didn't realize how far the Geth had developed, so when they tried to deactivate them they resisted.

I know this is page 3 and all, but they should have unmasked her in ME2 when you were on the mother ship. Honestly, a race of nomadic aliens that only live on ships, you'd think one of the first things they'd fix is their life support so you could take off those suits. Still annoys me.
I've actually heard that earlier concepts for that scene was more like your idea. When on the ship, all the Quarians are out of their envirosuits, and since your wearing full gear to prevent infection spread its basically the opposite of the norm. They changed this at some point down the line though, probably because they can't decide on what Quarians should look like.
