If Uwe Boll killed the game and used its corpse to make it into a movie, then there wouldn't be a point in trying to revive the dead since the soul has already left the host.

thought it would be nice, granted that it's possible...

I think it's possible, but if you want to make them good the only thing you could keep from the original is the IP.

It'd be nice to see someone try. I really think that some games have enough decent story to make a good movie.

Calumon: Aren't they making a Duke Nukem movie?

Jack: Don't remind me Calumon...

anything he touches dies and dies horribly. so No the names of these games when mentioned as a movie, your instincts will automatically tell u its the uwe bold version and repulsion will incur. even IF the new one is good, it will be overshadowed by the shit that is uwe bold.

Except maybe a frag mine... The dude has earned a plasma enema or two. Really, he needs to get out of the movie industry before I resort to violence.

I don't get what all the people saying no are on about.
Basically what you're saying is that once that guy makes a movie about something, even if you could get the license, it would be crap no matter what?
I don't quite get what you're saying, so here's something to make you all pause for thought.
Or laughter.

I think Paul Sams, the COO of Blizzard, said preety well what happens when you let Uwe Boll make a movie (by the way, he told Uwe Boll this when he offered to make the World of WarCraft movie):

Paul Sams said:
We will not sell the movie rights, not to you...especially not to you. Because it's such a big online game success, maybe a bad movie would destroy that ongoing income, what the company has with it.
Uwe Boll, destroyer of worlds. :p

Sure, just retcon that stuff and call in "non canon" and run it again. If you can get Steven Spielberg to direct, that would be great.

No wait, do we really want Spielberg? No no no no no...who do we want? Who would we consider worthy enough to salvage Bolls train wrecks?

Even if someone could I wouldn't want to see them. Movies based off games suck 99% of the time and I just don't care to watch them.

Uwe Boll is great. Videogame movies are always complete crap. At least when Uwe does them, they're not just crap but unintentionally funny. In the hands of any other director they would just be crap, period. House Of The Dead is a hell of a lot more entertaining than Tomb Raider, because House Of The Dead is so bad it's funny, whereas Tomb Raider is simply just bad. We should thank Uwe Boll for his services to gaming and let him continue on his glorious path to entertain us all.
Thank you BonsaiK.

I don't know what everyone's problem is with him. Yes he makes bad movies. He knows it.
He gets funding from German investors because as long as his company is registered in Germany (or filmed there, can't remember) he can cast it full of american actors and those investors still get huge tax rebates. That's where he gets all his cash from.
Then he makes a profit and does it again.
In my opinion hes just an amazing businessman.
If you watch his movies expecting them to be good its like eating at McDonald's and expecting not to die of heart failure at 28.

Actually that particular tax loophole doesn't exist anymore, the Germans closed that in around 2006.

Anyway regardless his films do make money. They might not bring in enough to break even at the cinema but they're low budget enough to make up the shortfall on DVD sales. He knows he's not the greatest but he doesn't give a fuck. There's more against-the-grain punk attitude in him than 1000 Green Days or Offsprings.

Entirely possible but not really likely. There are enough games that can get a film adaptation that don't already have a franchise started. That said I kind of liked Postal.
