Unfortunately, this means two things:cuddly_tomato said:So half of this soul-numbing badness is being financed by the German taxpayers? They are dealing with a fucking credit crunch! I am fairly sure they have better things to waste money on.willard3 said:According to Wikipedia, Boll uses his own production company to finance his films. He gets investors from Germany because of tax shelters that allow donors to write off 100% of film investments as tax deductions, and also he apparently gets 50% or something from the government.
That is still puzzling as far as the investors go. Why does it make sense to finance films they know are going to fail? Why not give money to someone where there is at least a slim chance of a success? Would they actually loose money if they financed a profitable film?
1. Boll is smart enough to use this loophole.
2. He effectively has an infinite moneyz cheat enabled to make his films.
The worst part about it, is that he truly believes that he is a genius. That makes him incredibly dangerous. What if he became the German president or Prime Minister? The world would end.
