Buddha is not a god, nor is Buddhism a religion as much as it's a philosophy....I know it's been said....but he's not, he " was" Prince Siddhartha Gautama, and was just a living breathing man back in the mid 500 BC's, who abandoned his life as a prince after noticing how empty his life of riches and such were after seeing the suffering outside the palace etc etc etc.. he was a teacher nothing more, nothing mystic, no divinity from the cosmos...just a guy

The word " Buddha" is just a title, there are SEVERAL Buddha besides Siddhartha, another major one is Amieda...
