Windows 7 is going to be awesome if the eval I've been gaming on for the last 2 months is anything to go by.

Windows 7 is basically the same as Vista.

I've got the Windows 7 RC on my test machine and there is little difference. Both are excellent operating systems, people are just installing them on older computers which can't cope with higher level coding.

Couldn't you go for the Vista option, then go here [http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/download.aspx] to get Windows 7 RC, then use your voucher when the retail version comes out?

I've been using it since the RC came out, and I got rid of XP a few days after I installed it, and haven't looked back. It's a pretty solid OS. Zero hitches with installing and playing games thus far. Old and new games at that.

Vista isn't very good, but you can survive. First option is not that bad either, since Win7 is (probably) going to be a buggy piece of crap at first.

I'm going to flat out assume you've not had the good grace to try it?

The version i've used has awesome, apart from a slight driver issue in media players... that's it. Apart from that, it's actually great to use.

I'm actually very surprised. Usually everything new in the computer world is a buggy piece of shit first. Gotta do a little fix to my post. Thank you for the good news.
