It also helps that if you spawn a sentry while disguised it looks like the opposing faction's sentry too. Confuses the fuck out of some people. Also, as good as the shotgun is, the rifle actually makes a pretty good weapon when not sniping still. Sure it doesn't have the power of the shotgun but still it's good to soften people up if you're going for challenges or trophies. Also sniping people in jet form is really easy for some reason.
I can NEVER get kills in the jet! I always get... well... hit markers. The only vehicle I can actually kill with is sniping with a tank. Anyway, does the sentry still shoot enemies, even when you're disguised?
Well I meant killing jets. I can never kill people AS a jet either, in fact I always just get taken out faster then I do as a robot. But yeah, even when you're disguised it shoots people. I'm not sure if it loses its disguise (example, if you're a decepticon and you disguise yourself and create one it'll be the red autobot colour) but until you attack you don't lose your disguise. Creating a sentry doesn't remove your disguise either.
Oh, yeah, scouts and scientists are their own worst enemies. Sniping scientists is a piece of cake, and usually a one hit kill. However, sentries can see invisible scouts, and can destroy them easily.
So the trick is to disguise, fly in, drop your sentry in the middle of a crowd of enemies, hopefully it kills one or two in the confusion, and when they catch on and start shooting the sentry, you stab them in the back, and fly off again before anyone can catch you.
I love this game...

I find it best to find a sneaky spot to snipe from and just accept the deaths if you get caught while switching position with each kill.
Just make sure you move before they figure out where they're being shot from.

Sometimes lag fucks it up, or another guy you didn't see will notice his buddy getting shot before you can get the fuck out of there and you'll die before you can flee.
Such is life.

Ever see two stealthed scouts walking in circles trying to stab each other in the back before a soldier just comes through and whirlwinds one of them? I love moments like that.
I'm usually that soldier. :)

Whirlwind is why I love playing soldier. That and the fucking scrapmaker (which, oddly enough, I get more headshots with then I do the scientist's sniper) I charge in with the scrapmaker as they fire at me, whirlwind and kill everything, then just grab the health that's somewhere nearby and move on. It's my favorite class to play on a select few maps. The scrapmaker and the whirlwind are pretty much all I use, except the occasional tossed grenade to flush out a few things to smack.

I have to say Leader is my least favorite class. It's not bad, it's just not my favorite despite my love for RAM.
Soldier is awesome. And yeah, leader just isn't cool enough. All the other classes have cool abilities. Disguise + jet + sentry, Whirlwind + Ammo bacon beacon + scrapmaker, invisibility + sniper rifle. Leader gets what? Shitty weapons, and abilities that just can't compete with everyone else's. Basically, a leader is only good if everyone else on your team is following you, and is playing soldier.

Scout, cloak, go up behind someone, scatter gun to the face. Or long distance snipe. The cloak thing fails though when the ennemy randomly uses the swingy hammer thing as soon as I decloak

The leaders weapons are good, the problem is they feel mostly like they're support weapons as opposed to something great. I'd love to have an ion cannon or whatever to back up my Scrapmaker or sniper rifle but instead leaders get them and it just feels underwhelming over all. I love the canon (the one that megatron uses) mostly just because holy fuck splashdamage makes it easy to kill people.
Yeah, that's a good one. Too bad the leader's the only one that gets it. I'm never sure what to use as a backup for my scrapmaker. I use it with hover and ammo bacon beacon, as well as perks to make it more accurate. What else do I need? The only weakness it seems to have is the spin up time, making short range (scouts) a problem. However, the time it'd take to switch to the shotgun and re-aim is about the same as the spin-up time.

Yeah, melee is really powerful in this game, but unreliable at best. More likely they'll spray with the assault rifle or scrapmaker.

Now I find that the melee is absolutely worthless, and that's why I spend about half the game bitching at it. I figure that a scout should be able to cloak, and then whack someone in the back and kill them, but more often than not I hit them, and then they turn around and kill me in a single swing. And it's not just soldiers, I gave up on trying to kill those, but even other scouts, almost 100% of the time, survive my melee and then kill me with their own in one hit.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong or if the game is seriously flawed in some way that I'm just not seeing.

I see a lot of Halo 3 in the level designs [multiplayer levels I mean]

Anyway, I can't do multiplayer too often because of a poor connection and lack of friends with whom to play. I have managed to get every class up to level 5. I think I'm going to focus on Scouts though. Or possibly a Scientist...or maybe I've level those equally. I surprise myself by the amount of ass I kick as a scout. As has been previously mentioned, this game isn't being marketed very well so, the multiplayer is a bit...well, not deserted just a bit lacking. I find myself playing with the same people which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I keep going to it anyway so, it does something right. It's really fun!

Honestly I mostly tend to run around with the damn thing on full spin at the first sign of an enemy until there aren't any in the area because ammo pickups are common in plenty of maps. I never use hover because it makes you too easy a target for any snipers who want a headshot. But yeah, I'd suggest getting the megatron canon for a backup to that thing. Just kill a leader who is using it and pick it up, you'll keep it until you die. I find it's slow but powerful fire is a nice counter, plus it seems very soldiery.
That's why I like to keep the rocket launcher as a secondary. Not quite as good, but it gets the job done.

I dunno, it seems a bit weird. Also, you should try the backstabber perk. It's not always an insta-kill, but it makes melee from behind do more damage.

My main bad point about this game is the skin variation, it's a lil bit hit and miss. And I have not saw all of the skins that I saw in the single player game.

Other than that great game, prefer it COD tbh seeing as well you can transform!

Anyway I have not played as each class properly but I am loving the Scientist

At the start I was sure the Scout was going to be my favorite class, but even though getting used to it was extremely wobbly the Scientist is probably the best class for me. It always makes me feel like a Decepticon, no matter what team I'm on, because it's even better than the Scout at implementing deception into active gameplay.

Loadout:
- Repair Ray and Neutron Repeater
- Sentry and Camouflage
- Receive less damage while healing comrades, remain camouflaged even after taking hits (further adding to the illusion), higher range for Repair Ray

Tactics:
- Camouflage, fly behind enemy lines, come up behind them, drop right into their middle, set up a sentry and zoom out of there.
- If there aren't too many enemies around, I stick around and watch as my sentry turns the first guy to scrap and then use my repair ray to soften the other one or two up while my sentry reacquires target lock; maybe I'll go into melee at that point.
- In all-out warzones I set up sentries, throw out an Energon grenade and concentrate on keeping my teammates alive.

As for the other two classes... Leader is ok, I guess, I'm just not used to playing the role of heavy support. I do think the basic setup of warcry and Energon barrier as abilities is sweet, though.
I just can't hack it as the Soldier. I'm complete shit with that class, no matter what I try.
