Let me rephrase - if you deviate from the 3 or 4 units that actually work in the Necron codex, or if you are fighting an opponent who is clever enough to just run straight into CC with your warriors and phase you out, then the Necrons are underpowered.Megalodon said:Necrons really aren't underpowered when done properly, just like any army. Some armies are just easier to run than others (but people still get it wrong).
I find Necrons to be one of the hardest armies to fight. You think you've killed off a regiment then, next turn, BAM! They are back up again, oh and they have just teleported next to you, so has their monolith.... and a Nightbringer...funFerrious said:We serve the Star Gods, with the Dragon as our prime. We are Necron. We are underpowered and massively due a new codex (rumoured for halfway through next year). Painted right we look bad ass. We are also not yet another army in Power Armour.
Mars hungers.
Fair, I'm definetely not claiming they aren't due a new dex now DE are done.Ferrious said:Let me rephrase - if you deviate from the 3 or 4 units that actually work in the Necron codex, or if you are fighting an opponent who is clever enough to just run straight into CC with your warriors and phase you out, then the Necrons are underpowered.Megalodon said:Necrons really aren't underpowered when done properly, just like any army. Play a sole warrior/lord/lith (potentially desty's too) army and only play those who don't understand how the current rules favour CC against the 'Crons, and you'll do well. Potentially very well (especially if they don't understand Phase Out and just shoot the 'Lith).
