Even though I have two other sizable armies (Orks and Daemons), i will always be a Necron player at heart. After all, it was the Crons who brought me into the game in the first place.

Imperial Guard all the wa-
*BANG*
THIS GUARDSMAN WAS SHOT FOR NOT REGARDING THE GLORIUS LEGIONS OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD AS THE EMPEROR'S OWN!
AND THATS HERESY!

Sisters of Battle. I collect and paint more than I actually play and I love the models and the background.

Runners up would be the Tau, whom I like because for some reason they remind me of the Culture, from the Iain M Banks novels.
Don't know much of the 40k universe but aren't the Sisters of Battle part of Space Marines or
Imperium of Man?
They are not part of the Space Marines but they are, yes, part of the Imperium of Man.
Specifically the Sisters are part of the Ecclesiarchy, ie the Church of the Imperium and act as its standing army. Mostly they work alongside the Ordo Hereticus.

I said Eldar, because that's what I play right now, but I have to say the new Dark Eldar Codex is probably my favorite Codex to date (and I'm not just saying that because I've been waiting for it for over a decade) and I'm definitely going to be picking up an army as soon as the models hit the shelves.

There's something to be said for the most evil race in the universe.
While the Dark Eldar are quite evil, I think the Necrons still stand as the MOST evil race in the verse. I mean they hated all other lifeforms even BEFORE they were turned into unkillable doom robots.

So which race would/do you play and why?
I play Orks mainly - there was a real sense of accomplishment, when we out shot the Imperial Guard. Rolling 5s or 6s by the bucket load and watching the massed ranks of the guardsmen fall even before my Orks could reach them to finish the rout. We barely managed to assault them and when we did, the spineless humans just turned tail and fled the green tide.
