Of the spirits, vodka during most of the year (although if I can afford a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin, I'll be having that), in the bitterest of winter I may switch to a decent scotch or brandy on the grounds of them being more warming.
Of the rest I'll take a medium or blonde ale, preferably Ringwood Fourtyniner or Badger's Fursty Feret. Ruby ales I'll accept though I generally only drink them in winter. Dark ales, stouts and porters I just don't drink (can't really stand 'em) except the traditional Guinness on St. Paddy's and when the English rugby team beats Ireland. Lagers meanwhile, I'll drink Kronenburg on a hot summer's day or when it's the only thing availible (Grolsch works as well). The rest just doesn't count as beer in my eyes.
Wine I only drink either at a family meal or with a young lady.
