I run on Windows without any anti-virus software; I had Norton Internet Security because it was a six month thing that came with it, and I got more attacks with it than I did without it. I think it's just a coincidence, but then again -- Norton sucks.

Other. I use Adaware for protection, Zone Alarm for firewall, and no real constant virus scanner. As long as your fire wall is up to date and you aren't doing anything dodgy with your PC you don't really need one. I have Malwarebytes which I use to occassionally scan the system though.

I have Avira in Windows and nothing in Linux. I might get ClamAV for that.

At the moment none. Have no problems on it. Used to have Norton's Anti-virus. But just being critical about what you are letting your computer access is key.

Interesting the folk who actually test these things before passing comment seem to say the exact opposite. Love internet misinformation.

I don't use any anti-virus on XP or 7, I'm just careful while browsing (have flashblock, noscript and adblock installed in FF) and occasionally scan with stuff like Spybot Search & Destroy and Malwarebytes.
