Zombie survival would be my best chance, but depending on the global disaster I may be able to survive that. If it's a disaster causes by a solar flare(look up what would happen if one of these hit us) we're all fucked. Nuke I may be able to survive. Disaster I have a pretty decent chance. Aliens...well...I fly a plane...

The best part of an apocalypse is a the post-apocalypse, and the nuclear apocalypse is likely to kill everyone and everything so there would be no point surviving.

Perhaps a massive EU vs US vs USSR war that didn't use nukes and left the world in an anarchy-state of nationalists, rebels, and justforthefunofit zombies?

Zombies.
Theres not much else you can do for Nuclear/Natural Disaster besides hide and pray.
So its all down to aliens and zombies in the "apocalypse you can shoot at" scenario, but aliens tend to have a massive tech advantage, so it would be a bit one sided.

Depends how apocalyptic we're talking.

I mean if we're all definitely going to be dead at the end of it, I'd prefer nuclear so I die nice and quick (provided I can get close to the impact obviously).

But if there's a chance of ragtag survival, I'd go with zombies or aliens and arm myself to the teeth. Aliens would probably edge it for me because, though fighting off zombies is cool and probably easier, I'd prefer to witness the revelation that we're not alone in the universe. Even if said universe just wants to rip our faces off.

EDIT: Though an apocalypse where the very fabric of space and time is completely unravelled by our own physics experiments would be interesting to witness.

I was at my local country pub a while back, chatting to the landlady during the compulsory 3am lock-in. Bearing in mind she's probably around 55 years old, I asked her what her plans for the Zombie apocalypse were. She went into great detail about her plans. Needless to say, I was a bit surprised.

Apparently they are some form of mutated/evolved Horseshoe Crab. Though it would be interesting to here how Horseshoe Crabs ended up in a trench in Russia.

As for me I'd pick zombie apocalypse, much much easier to survive than the others, with fairly little disruption to civilisation if handled well.

disruption?yeah there would be.the government would have to initiate a wide scale sterilization of the infected areas and most people would have to move out of the city and then people who went in would be STALKERS and the same for nuclear apocalypse,well actually the radiation will be so intense no one will go in the cities for centuries.
