Just got to the "Polis" chapter, actually... lol. But nope, only thing I've heard about the ending is that in the game there are two different endings and the book was a combination of both of them, but that is all I know. I even stopped playing the game so it wouldn't spoil the book at all.Psychosocial said:I think the best part of the book is the second half, from Polis and onwards. The ending will, unless someone's already spoiled it for you, completely baffle you.Assassin Xaero said:Hmm, hopefully it will be. I'm a little over half way through 2033 now and it is incredible.Psychosocial said:My copy of Metro 2033, that's in Swedish, was released like a year or so ago. So it seems weird that it'd only recently have been released in English. It even said in my Swedish copy of it that the sequel, Metro 2034, was going to be released "here" by 2010.Assassin Xaero said:I've only heard in Russian, possibly German too. Metro 2033 was just published in English in the past 4-5 months maybe? I have an English copy of it, and the prices were from the UK... I don't think it is out here in the US yet, and no clue about the rest of the world...Psychosocial said:Last I heard it was already published in English?Assassin Xaero said:I really wish they would put that one out in English, too.Psychosocial said:Metro 2034
OT: In short, video games and death metal. There isn't really much else...
Haven't had time to start it yet. I'll keep you posted though!Koroviev said:I think I'll take your advice. How's the book?LifsAndlat said:I was on the fence too. It was on sale on steam recently, so I picked it up.Koroviev said:I've seriously thought about getting Metro 2033, but I'm on the fence. I'm a sucker for all things Russia, but the reviews leave something to be desired. Nevertheless, the game seems to have a cult following, and perhaps I'd be a welcome member. Hmm... <__<
Hop off that fence and get yourself that game, my friend. I thought it was a great, and highly enjoyable game. The atmosphere particularly was brilliant. Liked it so much I went out and bought the book.
On topic, I asked for a violin for Christmas, woohoo!
This is true. Besides, maybe you could use the socks you get to make a hammock once you get your private island!Cgull said:Ah fair enough, going to be a good one for you then!FinalHeart95 said:They generally give me a warning beforehand if I'm not gonna get everything I asked for. Or just tell me flat-out that I'm asking for too much. Neither of those things have come up yet.Cgull said:Just to clarify, have they said you're actually getting you the things you ask for? If not, could be a little disappointing. For example, I've asked for a private island every year (including this one, I'm now 23) since I was 7 and still haven't got one.FinalHeart95 said:My parents are awesome this year and letting me ask for a fuckload of stuff. Not sure why, but I'm not exactly complaining:
And, to be fair, you can't actually expect someone to get you a private island for Christmas. Just sayin'.
I know I can't expect it, though the saying 'don't ask, don't get' exists for a reason. One day my family may surprise me with a small tropical paradise somewhere as a reward for my persistence over the years. Alternatively, socks.
Thank you!LifsAndlat said:Haven't had time to start it yet. I'll keep you posted though!Koroviev said:I think I'll take your advice. How's the book?LifsAndlat said:I was on the fence too. It and the Jaguar are easily the nicest looking guitars ever made, makes me wonder why people go mad for Strat's and Tele'sHigherTomorrow said:Fender Jazzmaster, eh?CynderBloc said:I'm gonna ask for a Fender Jazzmaster, like I do every year. I've got a feeling this is gonna be the year I get one!

I'd give you mine, except I love it too much. Good luck.
