I always use a term I first heard on Heroes, that is, posthuman. Mainly because it makes sense, most people with superpowers will be evolved forms of humanity in fiction, so posthuman makes perfect sense as a name.

I call them "Arrogant Prick" because they will be. Imagine if your next door neighbor somehow had the ability to fly...

"Hey, I'm going fly on over to the bar, want to come? Oh wait, I forgot, you're a ground pounder! HA!"

Super Hero is the term I use when describing a person with powers.

If we're discussing the title I'd give to people with powers for use in everyday language. Yeah Metahuman or Uberman sound good to me.

I'd probably call them "those guys with superpowers", seeing as i probably wouldn't think about what to call them until i was pressed to.

I like Post-Human as a sciencey official name, it seems to cover most power origins.

But for causal use something like Capes or Supes as slang works too.

Technically they're channelers and Aes Sedai are just one part of a greater community, windfinders, kin, wise ones, damane, Ashaman and the Sharan Ayyrad (spelling?).

What kind of powers are we talking about? Most of the poll options are rather specific. They either apply to some "psychic" shit, or imply that some kind of mutation has given a person all those powers. Since we're talking fiction, some kind of magic or otherwise non-mutation-based effects that provide powers are kind of ignored in the poll. When I read the word "superhuman", I think more of a "next leap in evolution for the human race" then of specific powers. And I'm not really talking realistic evolution here. More like, a group of people suddenly felt some changes and blam! They're some kind of completely unhuman psychic energy form with powers and understanding so beyond your average human that they simply leave. Sort of like Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen, but without the generic "accident" origin story.

So, uh, I guess you can call them Empowered Individual. Or something generic like that.

I would just call them a "superhuman". Name seems to fit well to me.

Meta-human.

I like that term. It covers everything from a magic user to a mutant, imo.
What aboot aliens and gods? It doesn't apply to them.

I think it depends completely on there powers, like if I had awesome Telekinesis I'd want to be called a Psyker (40k Reference, and just sounds generally awesome and will strike fear in my enemies), If I could start fires with my mind I'd want to be called a Pyro.
