Team Fortress on a friendly, non-dick server can be relaxing. No pressure to perform, just enjoy yourself and chat.

Music Catch. It is so calming. The second one is okay, but not quite as good in my opinion. Play it here:

Gta4. Some online death matches is a great way to unwind. Beating up on some newbs is not to hard, but doesn't get boring for a while either. By the time it gets old, I usually feel better and move on with my day.

Mount and Blade for me.

Any sandbox type game is great for just letting off steam. Even if you're not killing people by the hundreds, you can just muck about for a while, which is relaxing.

Oblivion with my 100% Chameleon character. Sometimes I just want to feel like I own the world.

Any murder activity center. usually one of the following:

Prototype
Infamous
Crackdown (Probably my favorite sandbox of all time)
Saints Row 2
Dead Rising
GTA: San Andreas (Yeah, fuck IV)

Really it's just any game that i'm not playing. when i'm getting worked up about something in a game, i'll usually turn it off and find something to do for a bit before coming back to it.

Civilization III. I especially like to do online matches with my clan. Some country with nukes always goes rogue and destroys the world.

You ever have a bad day, or something in one game frustrates you to the point that you contemplate tossing your tv out a window? I have. So I want to know what game do you play to vent some of that steam? I have yet to find a good one myself, but one that i have that will do til i find a good one is Saints Row 2.
Actually, I know I will cop alot of flack about this, but Final Fantasy XII. Once you get the Zodiac Spear (those goddamn 4 item pots), the game is actually quite therapeutic. I found the battle system in that game, with no random battles, just walking up to something and watching as my caracters decimated the creature with gambits, for me was a very cathartik experience.
A pleasant change from the Difficulty of Naruto: Rise of a Ninja.

Resident Evil 4 is my stress-reliever. I guess it's the (in?)famous exploding melon heads in the game that do the trick.

Personally for me, busting out the bass and playing a groovy song that I already know and hence won't stuff up is the most relaxing thing I can do (my favourite for this right now is "Runaway").

As for games, just playing generally calms me down, because I forget what I'm supposed to be annoyed about and get immersed. Lowering the difficulty so you can muck around is also helpful.

Fl0w. I don't own it myself, but I saw how relaxing it was when I played it at a friends house. Every PS3 owner should have it to cool down.

Depending on the piece, playing guitar is great. even though i dont have a bass yet, i like the bass line in Hysteria by Muse. I just play it on my guitar and pretend i have a bass. But for guitar i like to relax with this song below. I am in a guitar ensemble class in college, and for the quartet this is what we play. I play guitar 4, the last one to come in.

I have always wanted to try Crackdown and Infamous, but being a college student, i never have much money :/
Dead rising is great stress relief at first, but towards the end, it gets a little hard. I have yet to beat Overtime mode. Did you hear that they are coming out with a second one sometime this year? Supposed to take place in Las Vegas somewhere.
