Mine are almost black in most lights. They sometimes look green or brown though. Hmmm.

My eyes are icy blue.
Coupled with my blonde hair and German ancestry, this leads to me being the butt of all Nazi jokes that my friends make. I don't really mind though.

Blue. Or light blue. The root-kind of things that make up most of the texture are white.
Sometimes they look a bit green though, and sometimes a bit gray, or so I've been told, as lighting does play quite a major role.

Note the spelling of grey in the poll. America has more brown eyes than most of Northern Europe, and makes up a fair amount of this forum. Ditto for Canada.FamoFunk said:
My eyes are sort of a grey I guess. I have the Hollywood generic medium-light skin, light eyes, dark hair thing going on. I just wish my eyes weren't so narrow.
I've also come to love my eyebrow(s). Sure it's a constant battle to keep them from getting too close and keeping them a reasonable length, but guys with sparse eyebrows just look plain weird. And what can they even do about it?
I think mine are a bit grayer than blue, but as they're never mistakable for green I went with plain old blue.
The high percentage of blue eyes is a bit curious-- are we escapists that homogeneous, or do people with blue eyes just like to brag about it too much? (I grew up wishing mine were green and consequentially assumed the grass was always greener, no pun intended.)
