I would probably either stay human, hey, 150 years is ok in my book, i mean, Williams is almost or is 40 by the time Mass Effect 2, and she looks, what, 25 maybe?
I doubt she's 40, because Sheppard is 31 in ME2 according to the codex...

I'd go with some flavor of sentient AI. A shot at immortality's a strong selling point. I've only played the first Mass Effect, but it seems to be working out well for the reapers.

So um... only one other person has said Reapers? Come on! You could control whatever you wanted! Your whims and desires would be beyond the comprehension of mortals! Best of all? You're a giant friggin' spaceship!

Yeah, but how are you gonna scratch your back if you get an itch? Actually, don't answer that, it'll probably involve absent-mindedly crushing a small country on some backwater planet.

Drell, never forget where you leave your keys, remember every word from every book you ever read, know the solution to any computer problem you've solved before, and so many other uses for an absolutely perfect memory.

I dunno. Turians are pretty cool, and I can't speak for the new races, but I might have to go for an Asari because of three words:

Mildly Annoyed Statement: Original poster, you seem to have made the slight oversight of excluding the elcor from your list. Threatening Addendum: Please, do not forget that the average elcor could smash your frail, human body into jelly if he or she felt like doing so. Insincere Conclusion: Thank you.

But barring them, I picked salarian. Think fast, talk fast, change the galaxy, and die before you have the chance to get old and sell out. ROCK AND ROLL, MAN!

I noticed no one has picked Batarian. I guess bioware did an excellent job at making us hate them.

Seriously, I think Bioware just doesn't want you to like a single Batarian considering how they are always portrayed.

Yeah... Batarians and Vorcha are like the orcs of Mass Effect right now, but I bet they will be redeemed in ME3, just like the Geth were in ME2.

yea, which 2 of them are already dead, one from unknown reasons, the other from a human and 2 other people and a spaceship of smaller size then your own (Plus, youve been asleep for how long? dont get me wrong, i like sleep, but not for billions of years.

I find it offensive that the Eden Prime "Gasbags" are not represented.
Some of us might actually aspire to be a floating sack of fart.

PS: Off topic here, but how awesome would it be to ride an Elcor into battle?
SHEPHARD: "Charge!"
ELCOR: "Murderous bloodlust: death to the Collectors."
