Poll: What OS do you use

Windows7! I really enjoy it in comparison to Windows XP.

I use XP, and so far have seen no reason to change. Whenever I've used 7 it has felt exactly the same as XP, and it also uses up a lot more RAM than XP, so I've pretty much avoided upgrading completely. Can I ask what it is that Windows 7 has over XP?

I've never understood it, unless people really think that "snap" and the like are worthwhile.

Also, there's going to be a lot of Windows votes, both because Windows is generally more popular and because it's a lot better for gaming (or at least it's compatible with a lot more games).

EDIT: I used to want a Mac, but a friend of mine recently told me that his Mac wouldn't format a FAT32 flash drive bigger than 2GB. I haven't looked into it, but that one sentence killed any desire I had for one. Apple regularly releases underfeatured products at over-inflated prices, so the more I learn about computers the more my interest in Apple wanes.

No offense, but your friend is either incredibly stupid, trolling, or doesn't know how to use his computer properly. OSX will easily format a drive over 2gb in fat32.

You can use what you want, but something that someone is doing wrong killed any desire you had for a platform? Sounds like you had your mind made up before you realized and just needed the justification.

My main computer runs Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, my backup computer runs Ubuntu (and I need to updated it), and my laptop runs Windows XP Home 32 bit.

I'd only suggest going to Windows 7 if you're going with a 64 bit OS, and don't forget to drop extra RAM in your computer first if you do this. All in all 7 is a much sleeker experience once you've familiarized yourself with it. For me it was akin to upgrading from Win 95 to Win XP, it took a minute to get used to, but once I did, I loathe the thought of going back.

Windows 7 is da bomb. It is very streamlined and easy to use, imo. At least they learned from the pukeworthy disaster that was Windows *cough* Vista..

At home, laptop and desktop, both run Windows 7 Home premium 64.
At work, most machines are running XP but they are slowly getting replaced with Win 7 machines. On top of that we have servers running 2003 and 2008 with one lowly, old machine still clinging to 2000.

It just seems like Microsoft have put in a lot more effort with their presentation. I really like the way that it is formatted too.
The snap is nothing amazing, and it might as well have not been there.
(I just got this new computer today with it installed and I am loving it (maybe because my old PC had 800MB hard drive and 512MB RAM))

I use a Windows 7 and Linux Mint dual boot setup.
Been thinking of going to ubuntu, I'm not to sure what advantages it has over mint though. Going to need to look into it more see what the differences are between the two of them.

I use windows 7 HP on both my desktop and laptop my desktop came with Vista HP but I installed 7 when I upgrade the HDD but I plan to install Linux Ubuntu or Fedora on my current computer when I get a new one.

I think you could use a Windows shell thing to play them, or dual run Linux & Windows.
