Videogaming, subsection hardcore, non-nintendo, PC gaming.

Though I am interested in playing tabletop RPGs in college or university.

And I really need to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I can't work myself up to do it(it's the only one that I am even remotely interested in, as Naruto's bullshit writing killed any sense of me liking anime/manga)
Oh you don't like all the fillers and the constant insulting amount of flashbacks because the writers think the readers can't remember anything from previous chapters/episodes?

I bet 1/3 or more of that pos is just flashbacks and memories. So terrible.

OT: I play videogames a lot and my interests tend to align themselves with geek/nerd things anyways. Star Wars, Game of Thrones, D&D, MLP, very little anime

but there are things I just could never get into. MOBA and MMO's as well as comic books. Just can't do it.

Eh, kind of a three-way tie between Anime/Japan, Videogaming, and English speaking cartoons.

Was just Anime/Japan for a while, not as much now that I stopped my little "JAPAN IS THE BEST COUNTRY!" tendencies.

Videogaming, Anime and Movie-going for me, please. I do enjoy the occasional comic book also.

Mine are gaming, anime, science, and sci-fi as of right now although I do read comics just not very often anymore.

Videogames and anime/manga.

I also would like to play tabletop games like D&D, I never had before so I am quite curious. But none of the people that I know do that. Sad.

I'm mostly gaming, but I'm also tabletop, or perhaps TCG if that's different than tabletop, because I play Magic: The Gathering.
I tend not to go to movies too often. I'd rather enjoy them in the comfort of my own home than an overpriced theatre. I've seen a few animes (like 5 or 6, only two all the way through), but I don't really consider myself an anime guy. So yeah, there's that.

I know more about video games than I think a normal person should so thats where I fit. I've been gaming a long time and controllers feel natural for me to use.

If I were in the right environment I could fit in with the tabletop gamers but with no one to try with I'm outta luck there.

Simple question. What is the subculture within "geek culture" that you most often find yourself in?
I personally fit into the Anime/japan group but mingle in with gaming.
Primarily Tabletop gaming with a heavy influence from Anime/manga/JRPGs.

I enjoy video games, but my love is tabletop gaming. As a writer, I like the ability to create stories myself and see them come to life as games.

I guess video gaming is the most dominant, but I like a bit of everything from the list. I've only recently started playing tabletops more seriously (joined a group, bi-weekly meetups, etc). I still go to the movies fairly often, but I'm not that into Anime like I was a few years back.

None really. I honestly do not think it is a good idea to base a "culture" around the consumption of a product. Say what you want about other cultures throughout history, but all of them have had some kind of unifying ideal or moral. Geek "culture" has none at all. And it is a tremendous error to replace philosophy, morality, or other types of belief with the purchasing of products, and the related discussion of those products.

Other: I'm oldschool, so I'm an engineer. I build things. That's where my core geekdom lies.

Science nerd foremost, I suppose.

Also literature, video-games, and comics.

Video gaming, followed by comic books, though atm I'm in a lull where I'm not really participating in either and just tracking news/current events.

I would consider myself of paragon of geek culture in the sense that I've never found a subset of it I was not intensely interested in. I am a videogamer, owning many consoles and a nice self-built computer rig. I am a tabletop gamer, plyaing Warhammer in both the 40k and Fantasy flavors as well as many lesser known titles, dozens of tabletop roleplaying games, and tons of board/card games. I am a comic/anime/manga nerd, collecting series in a variety of formats. I am a movie-going nerd, going so far as to desire a career as a cinema critic.

I am also several other sorts of unlisted geek. I am nerdy about military history, civics, politics, comparative religion, weapons (firearms and ancient forms), and sports (especially gridiron.) Needless to say, I have far too many hobbies, not enough time for them all, and spend a fortune on crap I don't need. It's too bad I have such a strong desire to eat several times a day, that money could get me all sorts of far more interesting things!

I voted other, since I'm both a video game geek and a movie geek. My libraries of both are fairly huge, and I don't think I could definitively say I'm more fond of one over the other.

Tough call, but I'm sticking with anime. I like some of the others to a degree, though...

I've only ever identified with videogaming, but I don't consider myself a nerd, even within that subculture (except for maybe here. I live a double-life, you know.)
