i would ALWAYS start with bulbasaur on pokemon blue, because he kicks the first 2 gym leaders arses.

I have never played Pokemon. If I ever do, it will be one of the first gen ones, and I will start with a charmander.

it was bullbasaur, in blue version, i was like 10 years old, i evolved it to Ivysaur the same day, and even tho i lost the game a long time ago, my original Bullbasaur will always have a special place in my heart

Yeah, I know. Give me credit - I was, like, 6 at the time. I'm only just getting the hang of using stratergies past "STARTER FOR ALL HAR HAR HAR" now. In fact, that's the stratergy I've used for every single pokemon game, now I think about it.
... Maybe I should try it again. Who knows.

Tototile for the win. I got Pokemon Crystal with my GBA. Leveled it all the way to 100 through Elite Four runs. Of course then it was a Feralligatr.

Totodile in Pokemon Crystal. Only pokemon i EVER used in the entrie game. Oh sure i caught other pokemon, but i just kept them to have 6 pokemon... yup, went with 1 pokemon through the entire game, including the elite four. I dont know how, but i got him over lvl 100 without hacking/cheating. If my memory is correct, it was lvl 146. I wanted to show my friends but my brother deleted the file.

Pokemon Blue was my first experience and I chose Squirtle because I've always liked water related stuff; fish, the ocean, turtles, etc. I can't remember why but one day I started a new game and chose Bulbasaur. Since then I've had a unwavering love for Grass types.
