Bulbasaur, back in Blue.

Insert rant about how there are too much dang pokemon now, followed by command to leave the lawn.

Totodile in Gold version. Then Totodile again in both Silver and Crystal. Followed by Squirtle in Blue. Yeah, I'm a little backwards.

I always used Grass pokemon. Since Pokemon Blue all the way to the upcoming White/Black I will always start with Grass

Charmander, in blue. One of my friends told me he was the hardest to play. So, being a cocky second grader, I was all over that shit.

Game: Saphire

I borrowed the game from my cousin. Was the first pokemon game i played (not including pokemon stadium for N64, no gameboys for me when i was young, just the N64 console ;) )

It was a Squirtle, later a Blastoise, named Nik. He was level 77 by the time we hit Blaine's Gym. I loved him dearly, :)

The version was Red. Oh, for those days once more...

Original Red version, Charmander reporting in.

You get to set stuff on fire, and then he turns into a dragon to make setting stuff on fire even easier.

The whole game is so much harder with Charmander, but its worth it.

Bonus fun for when we finally find a gym we're super effective against. Grass gym goes down with one hit K.O. after one hit K.O. :D

PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!

Ahem. Yes, I had Yellow. I also got pokemon about 2 weeks before it got really popular at my school. My Pikachu was ownage, because everyone seem to favor water/flying builds at my school. And also, he hit first (speed stat was huge). Every single time. I lost count of how many times people wanted to trade for him. I had one guy offer me a mew, all three legendaries and a Raichu (you can't catch another pikachu in yellow and you can't evolve yours into a Raichu, so you had to trade to get one.) just for my pikachu.

Ahh, good times. I haven't played a pokemon game since, it dropped out of favor at school and I moved onto RTS and racing games. I mean, play pokemon with 1v1 battles, or play Age of Empires and decimate 7 other friends?

First pokemon of all time: Charmander!
First game: Red!

Some trivia: I beat Brock's Onix with him, and I was so proud! (I was, like, five)
Ever since then I've inaugurated each generation with the fire starter. I'm currently debating with myself because the Gen. V fire starter is my least favorite of the three but...
TRADITION!

You can't beat Typhlosion ... ever.
It's a bear. On fire. Even Charizard can't top that, dragons are kind of common. But BEARS WITH FIRE MANES?

(Typhlosion has always looked like a bear to me, okay? I don't remember exactly what it was based on, but to me, it's a fire bear.)
