I alywas play Dunmer for the first playthrough of any Elder Scrolls game. They are pretty good allroudners so I can see what mechanics work well and which don't. Then I will be a Nord, because I'm always a Nord, with my own invented class. Heavy armour and blunt (maybe blade, we'll see) and then super high speeeeeeed. Charge into your enemies and wipe them out before the even knew you were there. Then, Argonian assassin, because they are awesome at it

Side note: who else wanted spears in oblivion? I hope they make a return in Skyrim.

I've always played as human (whether I wanted to or not *choughmasseffect*) and I was planning on using one of the more exotic races, if only I knew how to decipher which one on the poll was which.

What's a kahjit?

I'll play a Khajiit first, then probably a High Elf 'cos I don't play them enough.

Khajiit are cat men and Argonians are lizard men

I'm almost always a Dark Elf when I play any Elder Scrolls game.

Some kind of a human, I'm fairly sure. But it comes down to the look and statistics/perks/bonuses they have. I also prefer humans because I can relate better to them, compared to a Khajiit for example.

I would like to point something out to all those that are in a rush for Breton and Imperial. This isnt Morrowind or Cyridol where you can walk all high and mighty and look down on other races.

This is Skyrim, home of the Nords. In this land the large beefy warrior men look down on the smaller weaker men.(just jokes guys)

I played Morrowind and Oblivion with a Nord and now I return to my homeland

Either Kahjiit, Bosmer, or Dark Elf For a stealth class. RedGuard or Orc for Warrior Class. And a Breton for a magic class.

I'll go my usual first character route for a TES game and play a Dunmer rogue/warrior. There's just something about that dark skin that appeals to me... Or perhaps it is just the memory of all those voice actors in Morrowind. "I'm busy, so make it quick."
