I liked the Kajiit in Morrowind, but in Oblivion they were just too butt ugly, I think their heads were too big. But in Morrowind, I thought they were purrrrty cool. Hah. See what I did there, cause they're cats? Otherwise I'll play as a breton just because usually they ironically look the most human.
My loyalty is to the legion, I am a soldier of the Imperials (CAN'T WAIT FOR SKYRIM!)
Can't wait to raid countless of Nord villages (If there is going to be a conflict with the Nords, cause Oblivion sure put that tension up with all those rumors of Legion Forts)
I usually just go with the Imperial. The thing is, i just dont like being a cat or lizerd person, and the elves just kinda creep me out. (dont ask me why, they just do)
I dunno. I know i'll be an argonian assassain first playthrough because.... well they're lizardmen. Then maybe i'll play a nord deul wielding Shields! Fear My Shield Bash!
Khajiit, and I'm gonna specialise in Hand-To-Hand combat, mostly because I haven't done that combat style or played that race in any of the previous games yet... I've always been meaning to, just never have. :S
It'll likely depend on how much they tweak the various races, but odds are I'll go Breton. They're a good all-rounder type that allow magic to be halfway feasible, and I might bother with magic more since they've already trimmed out the one school I never used anyway (Mysticism).
Actually OP I believe from the lore that Bretons-Imperials-Nords are far closely related to each other than to Redguards. They all share a common ancestor, whereas the redguards appeared on the continent much later.
Though what I'd love is if you could play a mixed race, it's seems strange how everyone is sorted into perfect racial groups. I mean obviously beast people can't mixed. But between the humans and the elf groups there's the potential for some interesting combinations.
