Well like I said I don't knock anything. The show though was made to target girls and theres tons of dudes evidently "these Bronys" that watch it. I think it's totally off for dudes to watch MLP but I won't say you can't.

The first episode starts off really cheesy xP. I'd recommend watching the first two as it is a 2 part pilot.

I was the same way. I watched an episode, thought it was alright, but didn't really understand how it had such a huge following. But then I really started to like it. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what I like about it, but it has something to do with the animation and characters...

I still don't quite understand why it's so popular, but I enjoy it, so I watch it. I do kind of detest the so-called "Bronies" who flaunt their delightfully random tastes around, however.

The two part pilot isn't a good way to gauge the whole show because it follows a different formula than the rest. For an accurate representation watch any other episode.

Ok, if you tried watching it and didn't like it then I'm not gonna argue that. It's obviously not for everyone. But, "Honestly, I think most people actually dont watch/like the show and just want to follow everyone else." is where I disagree. There is a UG on the Escapist with 190+ members in under 2 months. All of whom watch and enjoy the show.

I constantly see people acting like they like something merely to be like everyone else. So it is not far fetched to me that a mass of people would promote something so much but actually not really like it.

And honestly. I am sick of all the ponies. It may be my own inner hipster (I would be foolish to pretend I am not similar to one) but all the MLP stuff gets tiresome. But then, most memes en mass annoys me.

And yet.... hate threads like this probably outnumber actual threads praising it.

Edit: Ok, maybe this isn't a hate thread, but some are, and they bring the fans together better than any other.

It's a good show!

The animation is amazing, the voice acting is some of the best I've seen, the songs are catchy, and the characters are well developed and believable!

Noone here can say anything about it until they watch a few episodes of it first! It's no coincidence that it's gotten such a huge fandom so quickly!

While I do disagree with anyone who tries that. I haven't seen anyone in this thread saying that you have to, more that you shouldn't hate us for it and not write it off before trying it. If you watch it and still hate it. You are dead to us We accept that.

Well I beg to differ. I am a fan, I asked you for the reasons you didn't like the show, you presented them, and I let the matter be. I have seen an episode, mainly out of curiosity to see what this monstrous craze was about. Watched it, and could not find the answer. Its no smarter than any other kids show, the only things that one could find even remotely appealing is I suppose the impressive animation and actual decent voice actors. I don't see the appeal at all to this show, to be quite honest.
