Poll: What's your opinion on summer?

Summer's great. Play football outside, just chill out outside, etc. Warm dusk is probably my favourite setting. Amazed how many people here don't like it.. Winter's so cold and insular.

This is something which really irritates me about the English. All year round they ***** about the shit weather and then as soon as it gets above 20C for a few days in July they complain about the weather being "humid" and "sticky". Seriously? It's barely warm.


Summer 2003 in France was horrible though. Temperatures were reaching as high as 45C iirc.

Good:
I looove sunshine. I love going for walks in the sunshine listening to music. I love having picnics or sunbathing in the park/garden with my boyfriend.
I like BBQs and socialising.
I like being able to dry my clothes outside.
I feel happier when it's sunny.
I feel more determined to eat healthy and go swimming.
I like seeing all the animals that come out in the sun
I sleep much better.
I prefer being warm to cold.
It isn't too humid over here most of the time.

Bad:
This year I seem to have Hayfever which suuuucks because it's the worst I've had it. I had a really bad attack at work not so long ago.
I burn REALLY badly. I'd love to tan but my skin just doesn't. And it's painful!
I have scalp psoriasis and eczema and when it's hot it's the most irritating thing ever. The skin on my leg was flaking like crazy last night and I couldn't sleep very well for it.
People seem to be in a much worse mood when it's hot.
I have to slap out my pasty white legs if I want to survive and not melt into a puddle when I go out.
BUGS~ fuck off!
My cats malt like crazy.
Getting wet and sweaty, eurgh. I have to shower twice a day sometimes.

I like Spring best, best weather usually.

Seriously, that shit started a week ago and already there's around 5 going on.

I hate the heat so yeah it's not my favorite season.

I hate summer. Always have.

Summer heat and humidity bite. It means I have to buy an air conditioner, then pay extra for the electricity to run the damn thing. If I ever leave the air conditioned area, the heat just feels that much worse. Yeah... fuck summer. I'd rather be cold than hot. At least when I'm cold, all I have to do is put on a sweat shirt or grab a blanket or something.

If I could, I'd just make Fall be year-round.

I love summer. I have a house near the beach, so I can just walk over there whenever I want to during the Summer. I can also deal with the heat by just lying around in my underwear, since sweating doesn't really bother me then.

I cant believe the poll indicates most people hate summer. You can sit outside and have a barbeque, a beer and a cigarette with your top off (no matter how fat or thin you are) and a pair of shorts. All the ladies are wearing their skimpiest clothes which dont leave much to the imagination

What a great world we live in. I suggest more of you go outside and enjoy it. Its fucking amazing

If there's a good breeze or something that can keep me cool for more than two minutes, or even an activity engaging enough to distract me from the heat, I can live with it.

But honestly, I don't really care for either extreme in the weather. I prefer Autumn and Spring so it's just mild. If it's sunny, you don't end up sweating (which is what I hate about Summer) and if it's not, your teeth aren't chattering and there's no ice for you to break something on (which is what I hate about Winter).

Its too bloody hot, i cant sleep, people drink more (alchohol that is), making my job 10x harder, (bouncer/event security), my dog gets all hot and restless so shes miserable, all the ladies wear skimpy bikinis and show way too much skin wich makes driving hazardous for us males, i burn way to easily....i think thats the main points.

Here in the UK we arnt used to hot summers, we're used to rain and rain and more rain...and drizzle. Bring me the cold kiss of winter please, ASAP.

The worst thing right now is the sweltering disgusting airborne heat in my room and my room alone
Last year i spent in an equally poorly ven... i can not finish that sentence since i have no ventilation in here

Bugs are very annoying when biking around, but so is clumpy snow

Sure it is nice to be able to smell some plants growing outside, but that pleasantry is grossly outweighed by the damn constant light since i live a couple of miles below the arctic circle
God it was excruciating trying to sleep last year when i had no decent rolling curtains

I move around America a bit, but always hate summer. Everywhere. Weather wise at least, I like having time off. But when highschool then college are over, Summer looses it's upsides.

...Okay I kinda like fireworks. Maybe.

I live in a desert, here summer is so hot it literally kills people, so no I don't like it, it's terrible.
