Chaotic Good for me, I won't do anything to hurt someone and I help whoever I can, but I don't mind if thousands of people die..

Lawful Neutral (Evil).

Chaotic Neutral. I follow the rules when it suits me, but otherwise do whatever I please; usually on a whim. I lean to neither good or evil; I'll help others and be kind, but for myself rather than whoever I'm helping; and I can be capable of horrible things sometimes...
Had some reservations about my chaotic evil character too, until I explained the subplot behind him (long story short, he went through an alignment change - to chaotic neutral - and got abandoned+cursed by his deity in the process; he got struck down when the alignment change happened, and returned as an undead mid-funeral).

I am easily lawful evil.I will screw anyone over to gain but will not of course do anything to get my arse landed in jail, I am not that bloody stupid but the general mass is there to be stepping stones in my opinion
I do what I feel like, but what I feel like mostly involves not making too much in the way of waves in the world. I follow some rules and laws, and break others. I gladly help people if it's not too far out of my way, but I also exploit and manipulate people to get what I want (though I do TRY not to exploit them too heavily to their detriment). For all intents and purposes, I figure that puts me fairly Neutral.
There are nine D&D alignments, my friend, all of which deserve their own category. I don't understand why you put Neutral, Neutral Good and Neutral Evil all in the same category. After all, they really aren't anything alike. To be NG or NE merely means you are committed to good or evil irrespective of considerations of law. You are willing to use laws if they can further your goals, but not bound by them.
I am Neutral Good. I believe in the triumph of what is morally good, rather than legally good. As long as the laws of our society achieve justice, I am fine with them, but when they do not, I want to see them either changed, or barring that, I'd be willing to sponsor vigilante action. Some might say that is Chaotic Good, but I'd be inclined to disagree, since I am willing to abide by the law as long as it promotes good.
