In a packet over on my dresser. I'm actually on my...4 1/2th day of recovery. It wasn't too bad, they knocked me out, I recall very little between when I sat down on the chair and got up to eat (if you can it that while recovering from dental surgery) later that night. Swishing with the saltwater hurt like a ***** the first time (I think I still had exposed tissue) and half of my chin and lower lip are still numb (nothing else). Otherwise it went off without a hitch. Now to see if I get to feel all of my face again or if I'm s.o.l. :(

Speaking of teeth I just remembered the time I lost a tooth while eating and swallowed it not even realising it had come loose. Got money from the tooth fairy but I can't say by what measures it went through to get that tooth.

Ah but back to the task at hand. My wisdom teeth are going to have to be surgically removed, but I ain't got money so I ain't gonna gettum removed until I have no choice.

I don't know what they look or feel like, so I assume I have them, and if I do they're causing no problems.

I've had 3 removed, the 4th (bottom left) never came through.
Turns out the bloody thing is impacted (growing horizontally) and is pushing the rest of the teeth in my bottom jaw to the right.
Removal is going to require a general anesthetic, dislocation of my lower jaw, and a hammer and chisel. And no, I'm not exaggerating.

I have braces on at the moment and as it rearranged my teeth it forced all 4 to come out of the gums at same time. Worst pain I ever felt but they are all out of the gums (top left was removed, no pain and just some local anethetic).

My teeth were perfect, even the wisdom teeth until after I had my stroke. The meds they had me on caused my gums to dry out and my teeth to begin dying on the inside, so I'm having to have them all removed. About three months ago I was hurting so much from one I went into the bathroom, got a towel, put it over the tooth and pulled it myself. Luckily my dad had some liquid Oxycontin from back surgery and gave me a few doses.

The dentist asked me how I could stand doing it without being numb and I said, "I'd rather have a moment of excruciating pain than weeks of nagging and gnawing pain". He then checked it and said I did a great job and got every bit of it out.

No idea where mine are, they was removed over a period of a years.
Top left was removed cuz it wasn't room enough. Was pulled really easy cuz the roots were stumpy.
Bottom left and top right was removed cuz of hellova caries. Left one was easy enough, but right one was so hollow it broke into several pieces and had to be removed by cutting (luckily for my wallet, that's surgery and our evil socialist health care covers most of that).
That's the only one I had to sew.
Bottom left was pulled the year after, there was a big hole under an old filling and cuz it was making the rest of the teeth in my lower jaw crooked.

Pulling teeth in it's self isn't that bad (provided you're on painkillers during the op) but the worst thing is waking up the day afterwards with your mouth filled with semi-coagulated blood.

Protip: If you have open wounds (not sewed), get a small syringe (ca 5 ml) and use it to clean out the wound(s) with lukewarm water after each meal. Much more effective than all kinds of swishing and gargling.

Haven't grown in yet. I'm dreading getting them out, though. Dentists... eugh!

My option wasn't there, I've had 2 removed and have to get the last 2 removed as well, later this year probably. They're in there pretty good, so I have to get them surgically removed. Weird during surgery, but atleast it's not painful. The days after though they hurt like a mofo. :D

Where is the "they're still coming in" option?

Anyhoodles they're located in my mouth, but that is very general...

Mine are currently still in my mouth but they wont be for very long. Getting them removed towards the end of the month. It will be the first time I've ever been but under for a surgery so that may be interesting but my sister had her wisdom teeth pulled and got dry socket and it didn't seem like fun though my sister generally gets the short end of the stick when it comes to dental complications despite being the one that actually brushes their teeth. So heres hoping my operation and recovery will be as painless as possible for wisdom teeth so I can have a bit of a laugh at her.

I've still got my wisdom teeth. Although I am missing one plain ordinary pre-molar, or is it molar, doesn't matter. Although, in fairness, I had to get it taken out because my brother did something to it when he accidentily hit me in the face. (Rugby training, awkward tackle)

My wisdom teeth were growing in sideways. Not the normal up and down like most teeth. So they had to be removed.

Had all four removed and one extra that my dentist was surprised to discover had never come through, and was traveling sideways in my jaw.
So yeah, in those few weeks I learned I still have a baby tooth, how much bioshock one person can play in a week, and the joys of drinking custard from a glass.

Heh... I had all four removed last week, good excuse to skip uni. I didn't get any swelling, but one uhhh... hole? still hurts a tad. The point of the story is, painkillers do not make me better at Starcraft 2, but they do make me more persistent...

The doctor still has all 4 of mine, I wanted to keep them and make a pair of cufflinks out of them cause I'm handy like that; but alas. Now I live in fear that he will sell them to a voodoo priest who will put a curse on me with them.

Well I have all 4, they cause problems sometimes, nothing more than a dull ache for an hour every few months or so.

Two are growing under other teeth, one is in a good place and will be fine, the other is pushing my teeth down in to a space where I had one removed so that will be fine.

I don't see the point of paying my very expensive private dentist heaps of money to remove some teeth that are a perfectly natural process of my gob. Screw him. I'm not helping him pay off hos uni degree.
