Poll: Which do you prefer: Competitive or Cooperative Multiplayer?

Eh, I'm not big on multiplayer, but, ultimately, I prefer playing a game with people than playing against them. That could also be because I don't like myself when I'm in a competitive mindset. I'm more competitive against my own standards than I am against other people.

Co-Op. but when your team is 20+ people and 50% dont speak english, 30% are just ignorant and the game mode is CTF, its kinda hard.

Competitive and Co Op combine in TF2, so a mixture of both is a healthy balance, though each type of multiplayer has it's own merits.

I tend to prefer co-op becuase people seem less prone to making arses of themselves that way.

Ofc ofc you're absolutely right on that. But let's look at this logically. Let's say that 74% of all gamers prefer coop games before competitive, would it not be smarter economically to design more coop games since people would rather buy them then competitive? Or am I just halbalkmsdgasöldgna?

I dont even think you would need alot more Co-op based games. Id love for a co-op mode for Fallout 3. Just make it a Bonus like it was in Halo. it sure as hell was never the Primary Design. But it was a Sweet Bonus.
Same could be for Tons of games. just let us have the single player story and a "Party" of friends.
But yeah. the lack overall of Co-op games is kinda suppriseing. more so with the number of Co-op mods that almost allways have existed.

Don't know why, but I get so pissed when I'm defeated by other humans. AI defeats don't bother me though. I'll never understand that. For me, co-op is the best, but I have had fun competitivly. Although I also thought that havinbg AI bots to fight when not online would've been a plus, especially in CoD4 (note: I said offline only! no bots online).
