Poll: which fighting game series do you love the most?

Soul Calibur.

Although I have to admit that I have a soft spot also for Virtua Fighter -series, thanks to VF2 and Fighters Megamix on sega saturn.

Street Fighter 2, Marvel vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Capcom vs SNK 2, any King of Fighters game that has Vanessa, Smash Brothers Melee and Brawl, Mortal Kombat 1 and 2, and Time Killers.

And I honestly can't shorten the list any.

Time Killers? Did you really? Oh man. Well, I see your Time Killers and raise you one Weaponlord.

Also, why did Guilty Gear not make the main list? Virtua Fighter and possibly Soul Calibur aside, it's the cleanest, most-options-at-any-given-time fighter series out there.

Street Fighter. I love fighting games, and I couldn't possibly choose anything other than the game that got me into them.

Notable mentions are SSB and Soul Calibur.

While immediate thought was to go with Street Fighter (since it was my first fighter), I really like Soul Calibur, but I'm a huge fan of Marvel vs Capcom. So since MvC is in the same vein as Street Fighter, I'll go with Street Fighter.

However, I love Smash Bros but I don't view like the other fighters. It seems different to me, it's like saying Mario Kart is a simulation racer like Gran Turismo or Need for Speed.

But I'll go with SSBB because our entire family enjoys it so I'll go with the majority of our household.
